Hi Lynette, I ran across this tonight and forgot I had such a treasure. I wanted to share it with you:
Do you ever feel too weary, worn, and beaten up by life to believe God can do anything wonderful and miraculous with you? I have noticed a pattern in my realtionship with God. Many times when He told me through His Word and prayer to believe Him for something very specific, over time the outlook on the matter dwindled from good to slim to utterly impossible before He brought it to pass. Keith and I are facing a matter right now. In fact, this morning the situation seemed to hit the 'impossible' category. While my stomach churned with concern, a smirk crossed my face as I thought, it might be prime time for the God show. He wants to make absolutely sure that we know He's the one who fulfills divine promises. We will rarely be able to conclude that any God-given destiny simply followed a natural course of events. . . Beloved, is anything 'too hard' for you right now? If so, you have the perfect setting for a miracle. Wonders come all sorts of ways, sometimes in the greater miracle that results when we don't get what we were so convinced we wanted and end up with something far more glorious. I do not hesitate to ask God for a miracle in circumstances and prospects that seem too hard--in one way or another--and rarely if ever has one not surfaced. God just as readily esteems what is 'too hard' for you. Taken from "The Patriarchs" Bible Study by Beth Moore

I am praying for Sydney and your family. I have found encouragment in the face of this little girls smile, during this time of sickness. God is so faithful and He hears the cries of our hearts. Even though we do walk through valleys in our lives, God is faithful to carry us through those valleys until we reach the mountain tops. He never leaves us nor forsakes us! During our times of trails and pain, he is building our character. Just believe that you will be more like Christ when you get to the end of this trail! I pray that Sydney receives her healing and that you will be able to testify of God's healing power, but most of all of His loving mercy and His grace!

We serve an awsome God and he will bring peace during all storms! Crawl up to Daddies lap and let him wrap his loving arms around you both while you both gain strength. He will give you both the courage and strength to do what ever it takes to come through this time. But I have found that we are even closer to God when in the worlds eyes we should feel the furtherest away.Feed on his word, all the love he has surrounded you with and laugh often and this to shall pass! God has a plan and each of you will be able to spread how amazing our Fathers grace and healing powers are to all who just ask and expect to receive. You will both be in my prayers for peace in this storm and may you see the hand of Jesus reaching out -just never take your eyes off of him to look at your surcomstances because it is then that we start doubting what he is and can do in our lives. Blessings,Strength,Peace that Passes All Understanding,Courage to Weather the Storm and find all the beauty and blessings that we received in the midst of the storm as we are surrounded by his presence always! Sincerely, Gina Happel

Dear Lynette, We went out to dinner tonight and ran into lots of people that we knew from lots of different places. Later on it occured to me that each one of them had some sort of connection to the Thweatt family and that each of them had been praying for Sydney. I feel fairly certain that each of them had prayed for her today. I was overwhelmed by the feeling of connection to the body of Christ , and this is just a small example of the supplications on Sydney's behalf. In the midst of the battle I hope that you occasionally can feel that connection too. Now that the fast is over I hope that Sydney's system is quiet and at peace. I know how wonderful it must be for both of you to have the boys there. We pray each day for God's blessing on your family and for Sydney's complete recovery. much love , Dee Ann

James,
Thank you for the update, although our hearts grieve at the physical and emotional strain of this upon Sydney her family. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you daily. Also, please know that your lives witness to thousands of people about God's all sufficient grace in the face of suffering.

Dear Family,
The several days of no food and water has passed and I pray that this relieved Sydney of her pain and discomfort. I pray that she is healing quickly and feeling better soon. We are constantly praying for Lynette to stay strong and determined and for Sydney's spirit to remain high. We love you all and hope to see you all soon. Love, Patty

Jesus heal and give strength to Sydney's body. Jesus said to have the faith of a child, and Sydney's Yours. Deliver her from this crippling ailment and restore her body whole again. Be with her parents and continue to draw them close to You. In Jesus Name I ask these things through faith that I know only You the Lord God Almighty can do. Amen.

I am praying today that our Lord who is the God of all comfort would show you again His steadfast love and tender mercies. For "The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases, His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. The Lord is my portion says my soul, therefore I will hope in Him." Lamentations 3:22,23 There is a song our family sings that has reminded me of you. Hymns are often what stir my heart and fix my eyes on Christ. O LOVE THAT WILT NOT LET ME GO O love that wilt not let go, I rest my weary soul in Thee; I give thee back the life I owe, That in Thine ocean depths it flow, may richer fuller be. O Light that follow'st all my way, I yield my flickering torch to Thee; My heart restores its borrowed ray, that in Thy sunshine's blaze its day may fairer, brighter be. O Joy that seekest me through pain, I cannot close my heart to Thee; I trace the rainbow through the rain and feel the promise is not vain that morn shall tearless be. May the peace of Christ be with you precious Sydney and Lynette. His peace is not fragile or vaporous. It is thick, it runs deep and cannot be altered by any circumstance. Your are firmly in His grip and we look to Him and trust in Him while we wait with you for His glory to be revealed.

It is my honor to pray for Sydney (thanks for the update 2MOMS). God is the great physician and I know that HE is glorified by how your family has handled this illness. May peace and strength come just when you need it - continue to look up to his face. I join in prayer with you during this fast.
