We are so enthused and hopeful with your latest updates. Our whole family keeps you in constant vigil. Faye asks me almost every morning to help her write "Sydney" on her hand. As I was going through last year's Christmas cards a couple of weeks ago I came across yours from last year and have kept it on my nightstand and slept with it under my pillow last week during the transplant. I know it seems silly but I so want to hold her and you in constant vigil. I love the photo of her today - she looks great!! Your stamina and faith and testimony continue to amaze and inspire me. Thank you for so honestly and openly sharing your hearts and souls. May we never cease to see His miracles and work in this place. Hugs to all! Dina and Rod

Words fail me after reading your last update; thank you for your brutal honesty and immense love you share with each of us. We, along with your faithful prayer warriors, are praying specifically for your requests throughout the day. As you know the West Dallas students, faculty, administration, and staff are praying for you. Throughout the day I am constantly being asked about Sydney's progress from my students, their love and compassion for Sydney is so very genuine.

May you find rest and comfort in the arms of our Lord; God bless you!
Angela

I am so pleased to hear that some things are getting better, and that you have tangible cause for continued hope. It is always more reassuring to know that you have chosen God's path when all of the details are affirmed with positive signs.
It is truly humbling to know that you have trusted not only God, but the good intentions of so many friends that desire nothing more than to serve you in any way possible in your journey. Thank you. I know God will continue to be faithful. I will keep you in my heart and prayers. Have a blessed Christmas.
As ever,
Mary

Hello James & Lynette,

My wife is Michelle Crull who used to teach at Providence. I am deeply touched and moved by your strength through this. Sydney is a precious little girl who is incredibly strong for her age. I will continue to pray for your entire family, especially through this Christmas season. May GOD continue to sustain your family and be glorified through this.

In Christ, Greg

"The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears them; He delivers them from all their troubles. The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." -Psalm 34:17-18

Lynette & James:
What wonderful reports I am reading. Thanks be to God! I am updating our congregation, as well as the others in my community, as to Sydney's progress and everyone has been so pleased with these reports. I have been reading "The Praying Parent" and have thought that you could probably write that book. What faith you both have. Our family is lighting the Christ Candle at our Christmas Eve service. Know that we will all be praying for Sydney and thanking God for her as that flame is ignighted. We love you all and think of each of you daily. Starr & Boyd

Dear Lynette-

Your words are such an inspiration! Thank you for always sharing from the heart. Sometimes, when I read your entries, a part of me questions your genuine-ness. "How could she sing praises?" But today, when I read your list of prayer requests, I was reminded of a piviotal point in my life; a place -- a realization -- I had to come to on my road to becoming a daughter of Christ. A dear friend of mine -- more like my second mom -- has a very ill child Sydney's age. She's severely retarded and has required 'round-the-clock care since she was an infant. When Karri first found out, she called me to tell my family. I thought, "Oh no, this is it! Karri can't possibly believe in God now!" So I asked her, "So, do you still believe in God?" Her reply BLEW me away and set me on a path to accepting Christ. She said, "Ofcourse! God made Annie this way to bring Him glory." And He has been glorified. Annie has out-lived her life expectancy 4-fold.

God made Sydney this way to bring Him glory. But He also made you her Mama, because He knew you would bring Him great glory too.

Much Love,
Jenn

James, Lynette, Sydney and boys....

Our family continues to pray for you all and praise Him for each day's miracles! When I read your entry, I saw your request that "God is glorified," and I thought to myself...well, you can just go ahead and put that in the answered prayer category!
Thank you for reminding me that the way to love others best is to love Him most.

With His love and ours,
Allison
