We serve an awsome God and he will bring peace during all storms! Crawl up to Daddies lap and let him wrap his loving arms around you both while you both gain strength. He will give you both the courage and strength to do what ever it takes to come through this time.But I have found that we are even closer to God when in the worlds eyes we should feel the furtherest away.Feed on his word,all the love he has surrounded you with and laugh often and this to shall pass! God has a plan and each of you will be able to spread how amazing our Fathers grace and healing powers are to all who just ask and expect to receive. You will both be in my prayers for peace in this storm and may you see the hand of Jesus reaching out -just never take your eyes off of him to look at your surcomstances because it is then that we start doubting what he is and can do in our lives. Dear Lynette, We went out to dinner tonight and ran into lots of people that we knew from lots of different places. Later on it occured to me that each one of them had some sort of connection to the Thweatt family and that each of them had been praying for Sydney. I feel fairly certain that each of them had prayed for her today. I was overwhelmed by the feeling of connection to the body of Christ , and this is just a small example of the supplications on Sydney's behalf. In the midst of the battle I hope that you occasionally can feel that connection too. Now that the fast is over I hope that Sydney's system is quiet and at peace. I know how wonderful it must be for both of you to have the boys there. We pray each day for God's blessing on your family and for Sydney's complete recovery. much love , Dee Ann

Thank you for the update, although our hearts grieve at the physical and emotional strain of this upon Sydney her family. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you daily. Also, please know that your lives witness to thousands of people about God's all sufficient grace in the face of suffering.

Dear Family,

The several days of no food and water has passed and I pray that this relieved Sydney of her pain and discomfort. I pray that she is healing quickly and feeling better soon. We are constantly praying for Lynette to stay strong and determined and for Sydney's spirit to remain high. We love you all and hope to see you all soon. Love, Patty

Jesus heal and give strength to Sydney's body. Jesus said to have the faith of a child, and Sydney's Yours. Deliver her from this crippling ailment and restore her body whole again. Be with her parents and continue to draw them close to You. In Jesus Name I ask these things through faith that I know only You the Lord God Almighty can do. Amen.

I am praying today that our Lord who is the God of all comfort would show you again His steadfast love and tender mercies. For "The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases, His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. The Lord is my portion says my soul, therefore I will hope in Him." Lamentations 3:22,23
There is a song our family sings that has reminded me of you. Hymns are often what stir my heart and fix my eyes on Christ.

May the peace of Christ be with you precious Sydney and Lynette. His peace is not fragile or vaporous. It is thick, it runs deep and cannot be altered by any circumstance. Your are firmly in His grip and we look to Him and trust in Him while we wait with you for His glory to be revealed.

It is my honor to pray for Sydney (thanks for the update 2MOMS). God is the great physician and I know that HE is glorified by how your family has handled this illness. May peace and strength come just when you need it - continue to look up to his face. I join in prayer with you during this fast.

just broke my heart today to read that Sydney is so sick.

Lynette, I can't believe this is the first time I've written you during this whole ordeal. I think I'm intimidated by this format, since it's so public (I'd make a terrible blogger). Anyway, I feel so connected to you since we pray for Sydney almost every day -- I don't think we've sat down to a family meal this whole year without one of the kids (usually Catherine or Matthew) praying for her. Today at Fine Arts Day Johnson and Matthew were posted on the back top row for the hymn medley (w/ Jillian Fitzpatrick in between)-- it was beautiful, as always, especially the hymn "In Christ Alone." I hope you have that one w/ you on a CD. The last day of school seemed a bit more subdued than ususal. Dave Leeman had emergency back surgery yesterday, so Barbara was scrambling to replace him. Fortunately, Stephen Nielson was available, and she pressed him into service on his last day as a Providence parent! It was also pouring down rain the whole day, so the football field picnic was held in the carpool line --not a huge incentive to linger. Still, it was a sweet day and I once again thought gratefully of the scripture and hymns that are now hidden in these children's hearts. In this past week, your name has come up so much -- maybe because it was a year ago that James spoke at chapel, maybe because of the gvhd trouble -- anyway, I can't tell you how much you & Sydney are a part of the daily conversation and life at Providence, even in your absence. Reminders are everywhere. So, be encouraged that God has stirred a disproportionately large number of people who feel compelled to pray for Sydney and for you. We're privileged to be a small part of that big group, and we'll especially be praying for Sydney on this final 24 hours of her fast -- and for you as you have the harder task of watching and waiting.

Received info on Sydney via e-mail from your cousin's The "mom and loving it"Laurie and Sharon. Just want you to know you all are in our prayers, I am a mother of 3 (5, 3 and 7 months) my heart and prayers go out to you all. You are all a true witness for Christ. Keep leaning on him!!!
