We are encouraged that Sydney is doing better. Your family continues to amaze us in the way they look adversity in the face everyday and fight through it with such spiritual conviction. Sydney is such a special little girl!

Sydney-may you continue to find joy in all the little details of God's creation. He has blessed you with such imagination, courage, and strength. I love hearing that you are painting--just like your mommy. I would love to see some of your pictures soon. I miss you and look forward to having you back in Dallas as soon as the doctors release you.

Lynette--Hang in there. You are being lifted up daily in prayer. I hope that you will be renewed as your family is together over the summer months. I love reading your updates and seeing how God is continually giving you scripture to lean on and help you through to the next day or week. I love you.

I am truly amazed by your faithfulness to the Lord.
Your journal entries are a ministry and anyone who reads them is touched by your commitment. They have uplifted me in my faith and I pray nightly for healing for Sydney and your family.

Happy Father's Day to James! How wonderful to spend it with all 4 children. I am sure that Sydney planned a big celebration, even if it was with imaginary food. Our sermon on Sunday was on the measure of success. And that the true measure of success is how much you are a servant like Christ. I would say that James is succesful beyond measure on this scale, continually serving the family during a very long year. I pray that this day is a restorative one for Sydney and the entire family and that it turns into a restorative week and on and on. love, DeeAnn

He will turn the hearts of the fathers to their children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers; or else I will come and strike the land with a curse.
This verse was used today in a Father's Day service at our church. It is the last words in the Old Testament. It was charging God's people to hold fast to the law and teach their children God's faithfulness.
Then the message of the Gospels arrives!!
I am so glad that you continue to live out your life in witness to what our Lord can do through the Holy Spirit in you. And that your passing this on to your children.
It is the greatest gift.

Caitlin and I are in Montana now, we continue to check the site and pray for all of you. I just wanted you to know that even with school out, and people going off in many directions, you are in our thoughts and prayers where ever we go. May our faithful God grant peace, comfort, strength and healing.

I've been keeping up with you, Sydney, through Holly. You are an amazing little lady! Keep fighting! To your parents, all I can say is "Wow." You are incredible. Everytime I read your updates, I am encouraged and amazed by your faithfulness to God. God will reward you...He has some wonderful things in store for Sydney! God Bless you all~you are in my prayers.

Again I have been meaning to write...sorry I have not taken the time. I was reading today in Samuel about the Israelites battles with the Philistines. How they had been defeated and the Ark was taken away. When Samuel prayed for rescue...the all-powerful Warrior God of Israel responded with deafening thunder and Israel defeated the Philistines. Samuel set up a monument, an Ebenezer, a "stone of help," to remind the people of God's help on that day.
"He named the stone Ebenezer, saying, "The Lord has helped us to this point." I Samuel 7:12
What fitting words. The Lord has truly helped us to this point with Sydney. I will pray like Samuel for God's rescue and complete triumph over Sydney's battle.

We think about and pray for Sydney every day. Sending our love to all the Thweatts.

Just another hello to let you know I continue to pray for your whole family. Holly keeps us up-to-date on how Sydney is doing, and we are eagerly awaiting a day when you can all leave the hospital together, and live lives relatively free from all the stress and illness. You continue to amaze me with your love and faithfulness to God. {HUGS}
