Good Morning!

I just read your uplifting story. You are an inspiration to us all. We shall put you on our prayer list and continue to remember, think and be blessed to know your story and your bravery. You are a beautiful child of God and you will remain in our prayers forever.

Any luck on finding a bone marrow donor? What is the progress on that?

God Bless You!
Dorinda Carlile

Dear Lynette, James, Sydney and family,

We were so glad to read your latest letter about the new Big Wheel and the joy that they will be bringing to other children at the hospital. We hope this email finds Sydney feeling better with each day. You are all in our thoughts and prayers and we hope that her fever will subside and her strength will return. We love you and wish there was someway we could help. Please give sweet Sydney and her brothers all a big hug from her cousins and know that we are there in spirit! Love, Patty, James, Ash, Cameron and Victoria

Hi Lynete and James--During those down and low times remember this hymm: "When you cross the barren desert, be not afraid, I go before you always." It is beautiful, and I am sure that you have heard it. It makes you feel wonderful. Sometimes it is known as "Be Not Afraid" and sometimes as "When You Cross the Barren Desert." We are praying for you always.

Love, Linda

Dear Sydney and Thweatt Family,
We continue to keep you in our prayers. There are so many praying for you. Our church family and even some of the students and teachers at Dallas Baptist University have put your name on their prayer lists.
Here are some favorite verses in Psalms. May they bring comfort and peace to your hearts. We serve a mighty God.
Psalm 46 - God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear...there is a river whose streams shall make glad the city of God, the holy place where the Most High dwells. God is in the midst of her, she shall not be moved; God shall help her, just at the break of dawn...Be still and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth! The Lord of hosts is with us; The God of Jacob is our refuge.

Rest peacefully in the Hand of our God little Sydney. You are loved.
Zane, Savannah, and Carly Cawthon

Hi Sydney,

Mrs. Wiede sent me your website address. I have been praying for you and have missed your smiling face. Hope you have met some really nice friends at the hospital. I am teaching VBS this summer at my church and it reminds me of BSF and our class this last year because I have the five and six year olds. I am not sure if you can have visitors but if you can have visitors ask your parents when visiting hours are so I can come visit you. I love you Sydney and you were such a blessing to have in our class this year at BSF. I loved hearing your stories about your family and your chickens.

My prayers are always with you and your family.

Love, Mrs. Jones

I am a friend of J.L.'s and have been keeping up with Sydney's condition. I have included her in our family prayers and at Grace Avenue Methodist Church in Frisco.

I have a very inspirational story to tell. Just about a year ago my son was graduating from Frisco High School and on the way to his graduation ceremony he had a terrible accident. We about lost him and he was in the intensive care unit at Parkland for 3 weeks. But the power of prayer and Grace of God has allowed him to almost fully recover. He completed a succesful first year in college in Kansas and he is ready to play football next year. As you know, God's power is incredible and I'm sure our prayers will be answered for Sydney's recovery.
PS:One day when we were really feeling pretty bad last year at Parkland, in walks JL to offer his help in anyway possible. We are very fortunate to be amongst many angels. Please let us know if we can help in anyway. Sincerely, Jim

My daughter is a 5th grader at Providence. We moved from New York City 3 years ago and still have alot of contacts there. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to assist in your stay in NYC.....I went to an amazing church which is pastored by a man named Keith Boyd from Dallas!! My father has also just retired a few years ago as President of Baylor Medical Center. He also has alot of contacts if that would help in any way.
We will be praying for you and your family and complete healing.
God bless,

Sydney, I have made several deserts, cup cakes, flan from your eggs, but some boys at my house keep eating them before I can catch some at home at your house.
I will keep trying and definitely bring you something special when you get home. Make sure to give me a call when you get home or send one of your brothers over.
Kay and John are moving by 7/15/06 and then another new house will start to be built. Not looking forwad to that.
Tell the chicken I am sorry about that any moist ground. I got a plumber out last week when I realized there was a backup problem at the cleanout in the backyard. It is true I am avoiding mowing this year and trying to leave it up to the twins, but now the World Cup has started.
I know you will be home real soon and sorry, it took me so long to find your website. I needed to learn how to spell Sydney. See you soon Karen

Lynette & James,

You have done a wonderful job of posting prayer requests and progress on this website. What a great way to communicate to the many who know and love you and your family about how God is leading you as you go through these trials and blessings! It is wonderful to see Sydney's smiling face when you first sign onto the site. And I love that you are now listing the prayers that have been answered - I pray that you are keeping a journal of these answered prayers as an encouragement when needed.

Unlike most others, I bring no words of wisdom, only heartfelt wishes for strength, wisdom, courage, and discernment. Know that we are praying these things and others for both of you, along with continued prayer for Sydney's healing. Please remember my office is in the building next to Children's, so if you need anything, please call me.

This passage is from Isaiah 61:

9 Their descendants will be known among the nations and their offspring among the peoples. All who see them will acknowledge that they are a people the LORD has blessed."

10 I delight greatly in the LORD; my soul rejoices in my God. For he has clothed me with garments of salvation and arrayed me in a robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom adorns his head like a priest,
and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.

11 For as the soil makes the sprout come up and a garden causes seeds to grow, so the Sovereign LORD will make righteousness and praise spring up before all nations.
