Today a new day is dawning. The sun is rising, and we believe this is the day God will do a mighty miracle in Sydney's body. No matter what happens, we will PRAISE Him.

We have been praying for Sydney all summer and fall, and it was a great encouragement to me that our 3-year old, Elizabeth, (4 yrs. now) learned Sydney's name and would talk about her and pray for her. I can't imagine how precious children's prayers are to the Lord, and there are hundreds of children praying for Sydney.
I'm sure you've heard by now that the whole Providence family is fasting and praying on our face before the Lord today. We are writing her name on the palms of our hands (this is something everyone can do, even the children!), to remind us of her continually through the day. "Behold I have you engraved upon the palms of My hands.." Isaiah 49:16

The stage is perfectly set for God's mighty hand to move, because the situation has looked so bad. But we procalim His love for Sydney, and for all of us, and we proclaim His awsome, almighty power together with you. "The Lord is good to all; He has compassion on all He has made." Psalm 145:9 "With God all things are possible." Matthew 19:26

We declare war in the name of our Lord and Savior JESUS CHRIST, on the sin within ourselves, and on the enemy within Sydney's body. We think about our Savior's sacrifice for us and His denial of all the world would have offered Him, giving even His life, as motivation to deny ourselves. "Therefore since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the rase marked out for us" Hebrews 12:1 "If anyone desire to come after Me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow Me." Matthew 16:24

This is going to be an amazing day in all of our lives, as the Providence family is united in the Spirit as never before. It will hopefully be one of the holiest days we live! I can only imagine how much the Lord would delight in doing a miracle before the hundreds of children (adults too, but especially the children) that are praying for Sydney. We pray that they would proclaim this miracle and the glory of His name for the rest of their lives!!
Whatever happens, we will PRAISE the Lord, and we will not now or ever, doubt His goodness, His love, benevolence, mercy grace, and the perfect, eternally good reasons He has for everything that He sovereignly allows.
We know His nature and His character, and we TRUST Him.

We are in this battle with your precious family, and in some tiny way, we hope to be carrying some fraction of this burden and so fulfilling the law of Christ. (Galatians 6:2)

Dear Thweatts,
Each day when I feel life getting hard, I think of you all. you have been such a steady reminder to me of the peace which can only come from Christ alone and of the faith that we must have in Him. In Matthew, Jesus says that if we have the faith of a mustard seed we can move mountains. But how big the mountains seem to us! I then realize how little my faith is in the creator of the world, my creator. Having the faith of a mustard seed seems easy when our lives seem to be perfect, but it is in the struggles we seem to falter. You all have been such a testimony of an unfaltering faith in Jesus Christ and I thank God for that. I am continuing to pray for Sydney as well as the rest of the family especially tomorrow as the bone marrow begins.
and Happy Birthday Johnson!
love,
Skylar

This morning I read the Dec. 12th devotional to the Brittlea, Crislynn and Davis. It was titled, "No Fear." God is timely...here is what it said: "It is impossible for light and dark to live together. Turn on the light, and the darkness disappears! Love and fear cannot live together, either. Perfect, trusting love overcomes all fears. So when fear comes, turn on love-turn to Me. Love Me and fear will disappear." Thank You, Jesus, that the light of Your presence is always with me - even in the darkest places. I Jn 4:18a, "There is no fear in love. Instead, perfect love drives fear away." We are crying out to Him for you, praying for complete healing and that His perfect love will overcome all fear. Let it be so, Lord. We ask in Jesus name...
Love you,
Sharon

We are beginning this day on our knees; as we look at sydney inscribed on the palm of our hands we will remember to look to our Father who has Sydney in the palm of His hand. He is our Healer and we are all crying out to Him this day for his healing touch on precious Sydney.
love, The Kirchhofer

Dear Lynette and James,
I am posting our Providence Prayer email on the website so that all who read it tonight and tomorrow will do as we are doing here in Dallas:
We would love for everyone to take a marker and write "Sydney" on the palm of your hand Wednesday. Just as the Lord does for us in Isaiah 49:16

"Behold, I have inscribed you on the palms of my hands. . ."

we want to remember her every minute in prayer the same way.

Love
Wendy

Miss Sydney Thweatt, you are the most popular young lady I know. People everywhere in Dallas are so inspired and happy to know your family and to hear about your strength and faith. I ask everyone I talk to pray for the special girl I know. I am very excited about the donor that will literally give you new "energy". I truly hope and pray that it will renew your body in every way. YOU GO GIRL!!! Can't wait for tomorrow...
Faithfully,
Mary and family

Special prayers this night and tomorrow as we lift up Sydney, whom our Lord has sustained for this day.

Sydney is on all of our palms and in our hearts. We also thank our Lord for the donor, and pray that her body will completely accept the marrow and it will begin to function as her own. Bringing healing and strengh to her whole body.

We love you,
Susan, Kyle, Zach, Scott and Michelle

Hello,

I first heard about Sydney from Colin and Devin, I played football with them. I have started reading her history, and I can tell you that I know the roller coaster you are on. A girl that was practically a sister to me had been sick for about a month before one day she went to the doctor, where she passed out in the office. She was rushed to a hospital, where she was quickly diagnosed with AML, and they immediately Careflighted her to Children's. We found out later that the doctor rode with her, only the 2nd time that has happened in CareFlight history. She had severe pressure and hemorrhaging of her brain, and was in a coma. For the next 11 days, I was at Children's everyday, riding that rollercoaster of emotions. She was expected to die 3 times already, and yet she still fought on. But on the 1st of December, the leukemia had spread so far and so fast that she was already gone, only kept alive by machines. I got to see her 30 mins before she met her Father, and let me tell you, it was amazing how she looked. This has been so hard on everyone, as Caitlin was truly an angel on earth. She has a website, www.grace4caitlin.org, and her memorial service was recorded and has been uploaded there. I want you and your family that i will be praying for you, because i know that God does work miracles, and we are all part of His plan. Caitlin died 11 days before her 18th birthday, which is tomorrow. I remember our pastor saying that to us, that was so short, but to God, it was perfect. Caitlin touched so many people from her hospital bed, and so is Sydney. I am one of them. I'm sure you've heard it before, and so did i, but one verse that really helped me was Psalm 23-"Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me. Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. Her parents have told me so many times that prayer has helped them out so much, and so i want you to know that i am praying for you all. Even though we don't know His plan, we have to trust it, for it is Perfect. We walk by faith and not by sight. We serve the God that created Sydney and Caitlin, who created the Heavens and the Earth, who parted the Red Sea, who healed the blind and the lame man, who rose from the dead, so I have faith that His will shall be done. I do not know what the future holds for your family, but i do know that He is in control.
