Dear Lynette and Sydney - how very much the Lord loves all of you. You are so precious in His sight. Like others, I continue to stand in belief and faith that Sydney is healed - that she will fulfill her destiny and that God will use her and her testimony in mighty ways. Isaiah 32:20 says, "Happy and fortunate are you who cast your seed upon all waters [when the river overflows its banks (and yours certainly has); for the seed will sink into the mud and when the waters subside, the plant will spring up; you will find it after many days and reap an abundant harvest]...(I believe the restoration and healing of Sydney)."

May God bless you and keep you, May He make His Face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you, may He lift up His Countenance upon you and give you peace. [Numbers 6:24-26]

We love you all and anxiously await the day that we will shout for joy as you return to Dallas - banners flying and praising God for all that He has done. (Psalm 20:1-5)

1MAY THE Lord answer you in the day of trouble! May the name of the God of Jacob set you up on high [and defend you];
2Send you help from the sanctuary and support, refresh, and strengthen you from Zion;

3Remember all your offerings and accept your burnt sacrifice. Selah [pause, and think of that]!

4May He grant you according to your heart's desire and fulfill all your plans.

Psalm 20:1-5 "We will [shout in] triumph at your salvation and victory, and in the name of our God we will set up our banners. May the Lord fulfill all your petitions."

Love and blessings, PJ & Preston

Lynette and James,

The Hornbergers continue to pray for all of you regularly. Specifically today I am praying that "our God of hope will fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit." I know He has proven Himself faithful to fill you with this hope and empower you to trust in Him. Hang in there and know that we love you.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. Our daughter just went through a horrible operation yesterday and as I saw her in the recovery room, my first thoughts were to pray for both my daughter and your daughter.I think of Sydney often and I feels as though I know her because of the informative up-dates and pictures. I pray for Sydney to be healed.
Blessings,
Sheri Carpenter

I just wanted to encourage you and your beautiful family that many people in my church as well as others at work and their churches continue to lift you all before the Lord in prayer. It is a blessing to be able to join with other believers united in prayer when our brothers and sisters are in need of a touch from God.

Dear Lynette & James
We read with great hope and encouragement that Sydney's fungus and gvhd are improving. Praise the Lord. Although you are in the midst of this grueling ordeal, I often think of your blessings. Your faith is a blessing. Your family's love and unflagging support is a blessing. The love, tenderness and unselfishness that your wonderful boys have shown to their sister, is a blessing. The prayers of literally hundreds of people who pray for Sydney daily is a blessing and of course Sydney's spirit, courage and strength is a blessing. We never forget you and your family. We pray for you many, many times a day (as do so many others,)and we will continute to pray for Sydney until she is restored to full health and is back home in Dallas. We are thinking of you with much love, Aileen & Jack Pratt

Dear Sydney,
We are old friends of your Dad and Grandmother Sydney and Aunt Becky. We haven't met you yet, but we feel like we know you and certainly admire you.
We started following your amazing journey after we tied a prayer knot in your quilt at our church in Plano.
Wow! You are sure a strong girl physically and spiritually. Even though our boys are older than you, we use you as an example of how to live your life in a way pleasing to our Lord. So, thanks for being such a good teacher!
Mike and I could help you pass some of your healing time with some funny stories of your dad when he was just a little boy growing up. We promise to be nice James!
And speaking of him, we are very proud of him too along with your Mom and brothers. Families are great - and you have one of the best.
We pray for your speedy recovery and the continued comfort you gain from your Faith.
We hope to meet you in person very soon.

With love and prayers,
Mike and Lisa Veteto

The Lord puts you on our hearts daily ... sometimes several times a day. I know you must be so ready for all of this to be over and the road seems endless.

My heart is moved toward you whenever I'm in the Psalms. Yesterday I sat with a couple of friends reading Psalm 31. Although David's enemies that tormented him were more pursuing him with sword, this cancer seems the same as the people that were a danger in his life.

In verse 9 he pleads to God, "Be merciful to me, O lord, for I am in distress; my eyes grow weak with sorrow, my soul and my body with grief. ... my strength fails becuase of my affliction, my bones grow weak."

Yet just a few verses later (14), "But I trust in you, O Lord; I say, "You are my God." My times are in your hands; ... Let your face shine on your servant; save me in your unfailing love."

(19) "How great is your goodness, which you stored up for those who fear you ... In the shelter of your presence you hide them."

Whenever I read your updates, I am moved by the way you so transparently call out the the Lord in with the struggles and by the way you, as David, always end up right smack at the feet of His throne with praise for His provision.

Lest we ever doubt that God is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow, He is your (my) provider in the very same way He unwaveringly provided for David -- in the trying times as well as the glorious victories. I pray that your victory is right around the corner -- that you will be home in Dallas very soon -- and that God's name will be proclaimed all over this country because of Sydney's and your faith in the One through whom you perservere. He is receiving great glory already ... I can't imagine what He is doing in all the lives that have been touched by you already.

You are amazing.

v. 21 "Praise be to the Lord, for he showed his wonderful love to me when I was in a besieged city. ... (23) Love the Lord, all his saints! The Lord preserves the faithful. (24) Be strong and take heart, all of you who hope in the Lord."

Dear Sydney,

Our church family is praying that God will heal you completely from Luekemia. The Bible says in 1 Peter 2:24 that by the stripes of Jesus we are healed.

God loves you, our church loves you, your family loves you and your friends love you and all of us want you to be healed.

Dear James and Lynette,
Great news that Sydney is improving each day and that she will at least get out of the hospital soon. I know this is such a relief for you and your family. You all constantly remain in my prayers at all hours of the night. I know God will sustain you and get all of you through this horrific ordeal. I continue to admire Sydney's determination through the roughest parts, and for you and Lynette never giving up hope. We are all pulling for each of you. Our love and prayers continue. Love, Patty
