Dear Precious Thweatts,

As you head to New York for this important part of little Sydney's treatment I pray Isaiah 40:30-31 over you. I know you know these verses well!

"Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."

I pray that God will send perfect helpers to minister to you in NY. I know you will be ministering to everyone around you-even if it's just by sharing the same hospital floor. You are such a beautiful examples of Christ in us. The Holy Spirit shines through your life wherever you are. I know He has placed you at Sloan-Kettering for His special work or you wouldn't be there! I love you and will be thinking and praying for you constantly. Cindi

Sydney - we've missed seeing you lately! Just want to tell you to be on the lookout for some of our crazy cousins at Sloan-Kettering. You'll recognize them by their goofy attitudes!
Sending you all good thoughts!

Lynette,
You and Sydney were such a blessing to Judy and me. Everybody tells me that it's more difficult for "the caregiver"; I've never thought so, but I hope you're aware that prayers for you are just as important as prayers for Sydney.

Hi there,

I am so glad to have the webbsite info. I have been praying for Sydney without knowing exactly where you guys were in this process. I am a parent at Cambridge with All and have plans for a bone marrow transplant also in about a month. The verse you quoted about being strong and courageous has become a favorite of our familys also and I can so relate to your story about your time in the hospital--God will bless that time and use us wherever we are!! Where were you guys--Medical City, Baylor? I will be having my transplant at Baylor. Your family is in our prayers.

Dear Miss Sydney,
It was so good to see you today!! You looked so cute in your uniform!

I am gathering some more papers for you to work on and I will send them to you soon. I have already graded the ones you brought to me and you did an excellent job! I can tell you are going to be a wonderful student. I will send them home with Johnson.

Your gingerbread girl is up on the wall with the other ones and she is just as beautiful as you are.

Remember to read so you can get stickers and also if a grown-up or your brothers read to you, you get even more stickers!! I'll send your sticker book home to you so you can begin filling it with stickers.

I want to remind everyone that I am organizing a team to participate in a fundraiser for the Leukemia Society. It's called Light the Night Walk and if anyone is interested in participating or donating in your honor have tham contact me at ejenay@msn.com. It's in October and I hope we have a large group of Providence teachers and families participate.

I love you much and I am praying for you and your family.

Mrs. Puckett

Dear Sydney, Your 3 brothers were in my 3 year old classes. When it came your turn, your mother wanted to enjoy you at home. However, I have kept up with you through my friend, Easter. You are such a courageous girl! I'm wearing your pink bracelet and praying for you each day. While you are in New York---remember-- we are sending Texas Angels to watch over you! Blessings! God is so good and it is so good God is WITH US. You and your family continue to be in my heart and in my prayers. What a precious gift of such a sweet time at home--may blessings continue to flow and what a priviledge and honor to witness God's hand at work to heal and help HIS OWN. Your family's faith is such a "beautiful aroma" to those of us who witness it. God is good.

Two jokes for today, Sydney....

Dog joke:
What do you get if you cross
a Bloodhound and a Laborador?
A Blabador, a dog that barks all the time!

Doctor joke:
Doctor, Doctor I swallowed a sheep.
How do you feel?
Baaaaaaaaaaad!

Have a wonderful day, and God is holding you in His hands. nc

We are so very happy to know that you are all home and reveling in this time together. You continue to be on our hearts and minds and we too see the Lord's hand working through these circumstances. Please give Sydney and the boys a hug and hello from us and keep yourselves strong, healthy, and cared for as well. We will bring dinner soon.
Love to all, Dina and Rod

One hundred fifty + years ago, the words of this wonderful hymn were written. I pray this truth encourage you today. It is a privilege to pray for you all. Love, Cathy

"Day by day and with each passing moment, stregth I find to meet my trials here;
Trusting in my Father's wise bestowment, I've no cause for worry or for fear.
He whose heart is kind beyond all measure gives unto each day what he deems best--lovingly, its part of pain and pleasure, mingling toil with peace and rest."
