Dear Thweatt family, Having just returned from the wonderful service honoring Sydney and praising God for the gift of His Son for all our salvation I want you to know how truly meaningful it was. Though I did not know Sydney persoanlly, you could not help but be touched by all that was shared. It was so convicting and I know lives will be changed as a result. Even those of us with very strong faiths were assured by your example and selflessness. May you find joy in the moments you now share with your extended family and know that the school as a community has grown stronger and sees Christ more clearly through all of this. Thank you for allowing my child's first example of loss to be such a positive and hopeful one.

Dear Thweatts, I was so blessed to celebrate and grieve with you all today. I feel the Lord filling me with courage as I see how he has stirred you to walk by faith. I am so proud of you, so grateful for the picture of God's glory written in your story. The verse I can't escape:
"I tell you the truth, unless a kernel of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds." John 12:24
Jesus, thank you for being the seed that fell into the ground. Here we are, some of the many seeds growing out of your perfect sacrifice. And thank you for Sydney's life and how it will continue to bear fruit for your glory. May we follow you and follow Sydney until we all gather around your throne to celebrate you forever.

"Golden"
(Like freedom in spring)
She's alone tonight with a bitter cup and She's undone tonight, she's all used up, She's been staring down the demons Who've been screaming She's just another so and so, Another so and so
You are golden, You are golden, Child You are golden, (Don't let go) (Don't let go tonight)
There's a fear that burns like trash inside And your shame of the curse that burns your eyes You've been hiding in your bedroom, Hoping this isn't how the story has to go It's not the way it goes, It's your book now,
You are golden, You are golden, Child You are golden, (Don't let go) (Don't let go tonight)
You're a lonely soul in a land of broken hearts You're far from home, it's a perfect place to start
(Yeah!) (Burn) (Burn, Burn!)
So this final verse is a contradiction And the more we learn the less we know
We've been talkin' about a feeling, We both know inside but couldn't find the words I couldn't write this verse, I've seldom been so sure, About anything before
Golden, You are Golden, Child
You are Golden, (Don't let go) (Don't let go tonight)
This world is a dead man down (Golden, you are) Every breath is a fading crown we wear (Golden, Child, you are) Like some debilitated king (Golden, don't let go) Don't let go tonight
The Earth spins and the moon goes round (Golden, you are) The green comes from the frozen ground (Golden, Child, you are) And everything will be made new again (Golden) (Like freedom in spring) (Golden, Golden)
Hey, like freedom in spring, (Golden, you are, hey) Like freedom in spring (Golden, Child, you are) (Gold...)

Lynette, James and Boys -- To re-introduce myself, I am Rose Russell's grandmother in Austin. My daughter, Kellye, shared your story with me last year and I have talked with the Lord almost daily since then about your precious Sydney and your family. My plan that I offered to God -- and yours, I'm sure -- was for Sydney's healing to be an incredible and amazing testimony to the Lord's healing touch. And so it is. Sydney is totally healed of everything this world touched her with, and, in looking at the precious picture of her you have on this home page, I can see her sitting at the feet of her dear Jesus. I can't imagine how much you will miss your daughter! But I know that God's amazing grace is real and is healing, and will sustain you until we all gather together with the Lord. Bless you for sharing your hurts, your sorrows, your joys, your victories -- in short, for letting the Body of Christ be a part of your story. The Lord entrusted you with Sydney, and has now entrusted you with her life's testimony. Again, I pray for you to embrace His powerful, amazing grace today, and every day until you once again hold Sydney in your arms. Blessings, Toni Casteel

Your journey inspired our family in building lasting traditions of faith, prayer and unity now. Our children are young but their faith and love for Jesus has grown during your trial. Thank you for your inspiration and love for your family and your Lord. We'll continue to lift you up. God Bless You. Bart, Jamie, Rachel and Erick

I am sad to hear about Sydney's passing, but we all know where she is..in the loving arms of her ABBA...with a body fully-restored and a joy inexpressible. We share in your pain and pray to help shoulder this burden of missing your "little one." She joins other children her age playing, singing, dancing, talking, laughing....We are with you in Spirit. Much love, Laura and Brook Smith & family

Lynette and James, Your precious daughter did more for the body of Christ in her eight years than any of us will do in our lifetime. Your family has united people from all over the world, This is a true picture of the invisible church. We love you deeply and are grieving with you. We are looking forward to seeing your unique and wonderful Sydney in heaven. Thank you for who you are!

I want you all to know what a true blessing Sydney and her journey was to our family. Aside from praying for her as a family--each of my big kids prayed independently for your sweet daughter and her brothers. They have been so dilligent in their prayers--thank you for allowing such a personal walk be so public. Our family will take a new approach to our faith and prayers because of Sydney.
I pray that today will be a wonderful day to remember Sydney and honor Christ. I pray your family will be sustained during this difficult time and I pray you all will be able to ease back into things as soon and as simply as possible. We will never forget this walk and will continue to lift up the Thweatts in prayer.
In His love...

As I wake up this morning and am called to pray for you this day. A day to mourn, but also a day to praise the Lord for the wonderful life of Sydney. I ask the Holy Spirit to come and surround this family and to feel the presence of Him as this day begins. Thank you Father for the promise of the sunrise and the sunset on this day and the hope that Lynette talks about in her posting. Help us to be changed forever by the life of Sydney as we live on to serve you and honor her memory and what You accomplished through her.
I Love you,
Susan
