Our most Gracious, Heavenly Father. You are our God, the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ and it is in You that we place all our faith and confidence. This day we lift before you precious little Sydney, who for reasons we cannot understand, suffers greatly in this illness. Blessed Lord Jesus we seek Your Hand, the Hand of our Great Physician, upon Sydney for Your miraculous healing. We ask that the doctors will be divinely empowered, as well as the nurses, and tecnitions. We seek Your Glorious presence as this transplant takes place. You have promised when we ask in faith, without doubt in our hearts, You, our Lord and Savior, will give what we ask. Please lift Stan in Your loving arms as he is tossed and torn by the waves. Father God I so ask you to hold Lynette, this precious Mother, close to Your heart. We know in our hearts they would give their own life for this precious child. Keep their eyes focused on You that they be in the joy of Your perfect peace, Shalom, Shalom. By the power and authority given to us in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord, we lift our prayer to YOU in confidence you will give what we ask. Amen and Amen (It is done)

"I will liken him to a wise man who builds his house upon a rock and the rains descended and the floods came and the winds blew and beat on the house and it did not fall because it was founded on the rock." Heavenly Father, You have been so merciful to Sydney for You designed that she should live in a house that was built upon the true Rock. I praise You for the precious You have given Sydney. Oh Lord, the rains have come. And the wind has blown. Father, our house has not fallen. Please Lord, allow Your glory to be shown in the wonderful care and protection of Sydney and her family. Allow her to come through this operation without disease. Allow her body to grow strong and clean again. Give faith and hope and steadfast assurance to all who care and love this child on earth. May your Glory be shown, Amen

Today a new day is dawning. The sun is rising, and we believe this is the day God will do a mighty miracle in Sydney's body. No matter what happens, we will PRAISE Him.
We have been praying for Sydney all summer and fall, and it was a great encouragement to me that our 3-year old, Elizabeth, (4 yrs. now) learned Sydney's name and would talk about her and pray for her. I can't imagine how precious children's prayers are to the Lord, and there are hundreds of children praying for Sydney. I'm sure you've heard by now that the whole Providence family is fasting and praying on our face before the Lord today. We are writing her name on the palms of our hands (this is something everyone can do, even the children!), to remind us of her continually through the day. "Behold I have you engraved upon the palms of My hands.." Isaiah 49:16
The stage is perfectly set for God's mighty hand to move, because the situation has looked so bad. But we procalim His love for Sydney, and for all of us, and we proclaim His awsome, almighty power together with you. "The Lord is good to all; He has compassion on all He has made." Psalm 145:9 "With God all things are possible." Matthew 19:26
We declare war in the name of our Lord and Savior JESUS CHRIST, on the sin within ourselves, and on the enemy within Sydney's body. We think about our Savior's sacrifice for us and His denial of all the world would have offered Him, giving even His life, as motivation to deny ourselves. "Therefore since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the rase marked out for us" Hebrews 12:1 "If anyone desire to come after Me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow Me." Matthew 16:24
This is going to be an amazing day in all of our lives, as the Providence family is united in the Spirit as never before. It will hopefully be one of the holiest days we live! I can only imagine how much the Lord would delight in doing a miracle before the hundreds of children (adults too, but especially the children) that are praying for Sydney. We pray that they would proclaim this miracle and the glory of His name for the rest of their lives!! Whatever happens, we will PRAISE the Lord, and we will not now or ever, doubt His goodness, His love, benevolence, mercy grace, and the perfect, eternally good reasons He has for everything that He sovereignly allows. We know His nature and His character, and we TRUST Him.
We are in this battle with your precious family, and in some tiny way, we hope to be carrying some fraction of this burden and so fulfilling the law of Christ. (Galatians 6:2)

Dear Thweatts, Each day when I feel life getting hard, I think of you all. you have been such a steady reminder to me of the peace which can only come from Christ alone and of the faith that we must have in Him. In Matthew, Jesus says that if we have the faith of a mustard seed we can move mountains. But how big the mountains seem to us! I then realize how little my faith is in the creator of the world, my creator. Having the faith of a mustard seed seems easy when our lives seem to be perfect, but it is in the struggles we seem to falter. You all have been such a testimony of an unfaltering faith in Jesus Christ and I thank God for that. I am continuing to pray for Sydney as well as the rest of the family especially tomorrow as the bone marrow begins. and Happy Birthday Johnson! love, Skylar

This morning I read the Dec. 12th devotional to the Brittlea, Crislynn and Davis. It was titled, "No Fear." God is timely...here is what it said: "It is impossible for light and dark to live together. Turn on the light, and the darkness disappears! Love and fear cannot live together, either. Perfect, trusting love overcomes all fears. So when fear comes, turn on love-turn to Me. Love Me and fear will disappear." Thank You, Jesus, that the light of Your presence is always with me - even in the darkest places. I Jn 4:18a, "There is no fear in love. Instead, perfect love drives fear away." We are crying out to Him for you, praying for complete healing and that His perfect love will overcome all fear. Let it be so, Lord. We ask in Jesus name... Love you, Sharon

We are beginning this day on our knees; as we look at sydney inscribed on the palm of our hands we will remember to look to our Father who has Sydney in the palm of His hand. He is our Healer and we are all crying out to Him this day for his healing touch on precious Sydney. love, The Kirchhofer

Dear Lynette and James, I am posting our Providence Prayer email on the website so that all who read it tonight and tomorrow will do as we are doing here in Dallas: We would love for everyone to take a marker and write "Sydney" on the palm of your hand Wednesday. Just as the Lord does for us in Isaiah 49:16 "Behold, I have inscribed you on the palms of my hands. . ." we want to remember her every minute in prayer the same way.
Love Wendy

Lynette and James, We are pourig out our hearts to the Lord for Sydney's life! We have written Sydeny's name on our palms - I wish we would have done this long ago, it has been such a blessing for Ryan and Jack (and me) to stop and pray every time they see her name! Faithfully, Deborah
Happy Birthday Johnson - we hope your day was special! I also hope you know how precious you are to the Lord... and how amazing that He chose your birthday for such a big event to occur.
