Just wanted Sydney to know we'll be praying praying for her; especially tonight at church in Hope, AR.

Father God,
We SEEK you because we have no greater power than YOURS AND YOUR GRACE IS SUFFICIENT. We petition on behalf of Syndey that YOUR HEALING POWER would completely wash over her beautiful body and bring healing. We know that you are with her and that you will never leave nor forsake her. She is YOURS, Father, and we love her so much. We long for her to be able to spend a long life with her brothers, mom and dad, aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends. We KNOW SHE has an amazing story of your sovereignty, grace and provision and so we pray in the strong and healing name of Jesus, that she would be restored so that she can tell about you for years and generations to come.

Lord, you never give up on us, so we are never giving up on you. You, alone, are our HOPE, our STRENGTH, OUR ROCK OF FAITH, and we BELIEVE you. We SEEK YOU, ONLY YOU, LORD. We TRUST you and do not waiver in faith despite all of these circumstances. wE do not take our eyes off of you, Jesus. We know that suffering is part of this life on this side of heaven, but we know that we don't live for this side of the door, but for the eternal side - in heaven and for all eternity.

We have no where else to turn, Lord Jesus. But, you, alone are our REFUGE, our STRENGTH and our COMFORT.

Your Word tells us what to do in every situation.

"I WILL STAND AT MY WATCH AND STATION MYSELF ON THE RAMPARTS; I WILL LOOK TO SEE WHAT HE WILL SAY TO ME, AND WHAT ANSWER I AM TO GIVE TO THIS COMPLAINT." Habakkuk 2:1

Thank you, Lord, for hearing our prayer and petition concerning Sydney. We know how intimately you care for her. Please encamp your angels around her body at this moment and we ask for your healing power. We are thankful that Sydney knows you, Father, and that you care about her.

Our family is participating in your request to pray without ceasing, know that you are being carried by many this day.

We are with you through the power of the Holy Spirit.
In His Name, we pray,
becky, luke, sarah peyton, annie

Oh Father we praise you for giving this family one miracle after another!! And we know You're with them with every step they take! You're a miracle working God and we will keep our eyes on You!! And even now, as Sydney is recovering from surgery, we praise you for all You're doing on her behalf. We praise you for healing the fungus that has tried so hard to destroy this precious little life. Father give Sydney's family a supernatural faith that can only come from You! Show them Your mighty power. Everyday renew their hope and their strength! Father we don't seek after a sign just for the sake of a sign, but I ask that you give Lynette and James something everyday for them to see You working this all out... whether it's a good test result or words from Sydney, or whatever they need to see You. Father, we ask that you will give them good reports day after day!!! Also, help all of us who are praying for Sydney to be strong and help us to keep standing in the gap. When Lynette and James are feeling weak remind us to pray for them. You know their hearts' desire is to see their little girl healed, whole and well and praising You! Father, I know You love Sydney even more than they do. She is so precious to You! This is why all of us love her so much too! Father, just as her parents want to see this miracle completed, so we too want to see this done! Sydney has such a special place in our hearts, even though most of us have never met her we love her. We won't give up! We know the enemy is defeated and we'll stand our ground! I know soon we'll be hearing awesome miracle reports. I keep thinking of what wonderful plans you have for Sydney's life. This is only the beginning of all You're going to do for her. Father, I know many people are already touched by her life, even at such a young age. Always help her remember this time as a time of Your saving, healing grace!!! Help her mature into the adult You want her to become... always bringing glory to You! Thank you for being our God, our refuge, our strength! Thank you for always having mercy on us and listening to our hearts cry to You!
In the name above every name, Jesus, we pray.
Amen

Lynette and James,

Sept. 11, 2007 at 11:37 p.m.: I've just read the update on Sydney and my heart continues to go out to you. I want you to know that Nikki, Alex, Bob, and I have prayed virtually every day for Sydney's healing, her complete restoration, and for her to come home since the day we learned of her illness. Please also know we will continue to pray for her and for you and the boys as well. Thinking, crying, and praying for you all...

In Him,

Julie Brown

Lynette, James, Sydney, & Everyone in this Fight,

There have been so many times where I have sat in front of a computer and not written this. I have purchased several cards and not sent them. I have even concocted GǣbrilliantGǥ plans to tell the world about Sydney Thweatt and have only told those I know.
The truth is, I get discouraged. In my heart of hearts I want to do more than just tell people. I get angry because I can't send money to help with financial woes and I don't have the means to organize huge benefits in Sydney's name. As one person, all I can do is open my mouth. But even then, how does one, who has never met Sydney or her amazing family, tell of such greatness?
I don't know what type of cancer she battles or what that cancer does; I don't know what her favorite color is or whether or not she likes Barbies; I don't even really know for sure, how old she is. At the end of the day, I am left feeling unworthyGǪunworthy of telling the unbelievable story of Sydney Thweatt.
What I do know is that she is a fighterGǪa warrior, better yet. I know that she beats children and adults alike, everyday, in the world war against cancer. She has survived a bone marrow transplant, numerous surgeries, and continues on a warpath to beat the factors that try to take her down. If that is not greatness, then I don't know what is!!!
I spent my 23rd birthday secretly torn inside because I GOT to turn 23. I knew there was a little girl in New York fighting to make it into double digitsGǪto not have enough fingers to show how old she is (because I remember how excited I was when that happened for me). I am ashamed that it is has taken me until now to introduce myselfGǪforgive me for my shortcomingsGǪ
GǪI am Cassie. I happen to be in love with Will James (Sydney's cousin) and since the day I was told about Sydney, she has not left my mind. I don't go a day without thinking about her and uncontrollable tears well in my eyes when I hear of her, regardless of the news. I look forward to the day when I have the honor of meeting her.
In the meantime, I will tell people what I know. There is a warrior in New York and an army of people fighting for her. God is our commander-and-chief. Rest easy ALL, for we are in the presence of GREATNESS.

Sydney, James and Lynette-
The Lord placed each of you upon my heart over the last few days! I woke up Sunday morning prompted by the Lord to pray earnestly. I have had no idea how things were going, but the Lord has known all along. So, tonight as I read the Watermark prayer requests, there you are. The Lord will give you strength as He has so strongly provided all along. I am trusting in His provision - knowing that His plans are for a hope and a future! Casey has continued to pray every night for Sydney. You are certainly not forgotten even though the journey has been long. We love you!

Lord Jesus Christ, Good Shepherd of the sheep, you gather the lambs in your arms and carry them in your bosom: We commend to your loving care Sydney. Relieve her pain, guard her from all danger, restore to her your gifts of gladness and strength and raise her up to a life of service to you. Hear us, we pray for your Name's sake. Amen

I found this prayer and it says what I feel:
I prayed for you today
even though I wasn't sure
exactly what to say.
I talked to God and spoke your name---
I prayed for you today.

I asked the Lord to give you strength
to calm you from your stress,
to free you from the things you fear,
and bathe your mind with rest.

I asked the Lord to help you
in the uphill days to come;
I asked our precious loving God
to complete what He's begun.

He whispered in the quiet
and filled my heart with peace.
He said that you are deeply loved,
that His grace will never cease.
(Rev. Greg Asimakoupoulos)
