James, we haven't met but I feel as if I know Sydney through updates and prayer requests by Gary Giles in our Sunday Bible study class. We have lifted Sydney up to the Lord a number of times. I know first hand how you are feeling but in a slightly different way. I was diagnosed with lymphoma in 1983 when I was 30 years old and a month and a half before our daughter was born. We leaned on the Lord so hard that I was afraid that we were imposing. He showed us that there is nothing too big or hard or difficult that would keep Him from loving, caring and providing for us. That has been 23 years ago. This year my wife has been affected by the same disease and all the old fears revisited us again. God is still good, still cares and still comforts and meets our needs. I know how difficult this is for all of you. I pray that God will continue to show His mercy to you and comfort you and strengthen you through this trial. I pray for complete and miraculous healing and recovery for Sydney. Sometimes it seems that God reveals Himself in miracles through difficult circumstances. Please know that Sydney has touched my heart and I will continue to remember her (and her family) when I pray. In Christ's Love, Bruce

We are friends of Gary and Cara Giles. They keep us updated every week at Sunday School. Tonight, I confess, is the first time I have visited Sydney's website. As I type through my tears, I am also overwhelmed with a great sense of calm that our God is BIG and He IS in control. My thoughts and prayers are truly with you and precious Sydney. You just look at her sweet face and know, without question, that she is a special, special child of God. He will use her, AND you as parents, mightly through this storm of life. May His presence overwhelm you and His peace sustain you. God bless you ALL!

Dear Sydney,
I am Linda Green"s grandmother and I live in Mississippi. I am wearing your bracelet and praying each day for your complete recovery. John 11:40 says, Jesus said to her "Did I not say to you that if you believe you will see the glory of God?" Psalm 118:6a says, The Lord is on your side, (and I believe that). You and your family are very special and you are showing others how to live by faith.
Love in Christ, Charleen Newcomb

Dear Lynette, It was so good to see your face on the website tonight! We are praying for you, Sydney, the doctors and caretakers, hoping that surgery will be unnecessary in the morning. It is clear that He is your Refuge and Strength. I pray you will experience His loving care as never before in the coming days - through His Words and through His Body. We love you, Ann and all the guys.
