Our family is rejoicing to hear such a hopeful report! During our family's prayers throughout the day (mealtime, bedtime), at least one of our kids will always remind us to pray for Sydney. I have seen them all grow in their prayer life and level of compassion due to your experience. Thank you for sharing so openly with all of us. Much love, Nell, Shelby & kids

I just wanted to tell you about a special woman who is praying for you and asks about you when I see her on Sundays at church. You see, she has a granddaughter, Brittany, who is about your age and she is going through many of the things you are because she also has ADL. It was a happy day today because Brittany was able to go to Sunday school for the first time in weeks. She has a precious smile like you and it looks a little different today because she lost a tooth! She was excited about that. We are praying for the happy day when you get to go to Sunday school too. I think about both of you often and talk to Jesus about you too. Your Aunt Marcee gave me one of your bracelets and I have one for Brittany also. Hers is Blue and yellow. I believe you and Brittany would be good friends if you knew each other.I hope you might even get to meet some day. We love you all! Susan

Dear Thweatts- We Episcopalians are very big on Advent and always talk of the world holding its breath as it waited for Christ's arrival. Since Advent season began, I have had the sensation of us all holding our breath waiting to hear good news of Sydney. I knew it was coming I just didn't know how long we would have to wait. So now we rejoice and sing Hallelujiah for the transplant and the positive x-ray. I know that this is a battle fought in minutes. We constantly pray that the good minutes turn into hours, then days, and then years. We keep praying and believing!! love Dee Ann and Family

Dear Lynette, It's a beautiful Sunday in Dallas and I'm in the throne room pleading for Sydney. The Lord led me to a wonderful quotation from Charles Spurgeon: "God, the eternal God, is our support at all times, especially when we are sinking into deep trouble. There are seasons when we sink quite low . . . Dear child of God, even when you are at your lowest, underneath are the everlasting arms." Deuteronomy 33:27 says "The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms. . ." My prayer today is that you all my find rest in His everlasting arms.

Thweatts- we are all still beside you. I pray with Kathie Lee Gifford before each performance of Annie- we pray for Sydney. Kath, her friend, and the other women in our little band ask about Syd daily. Kathie's brother is a pastor here in NYC and they are praying for Syd too. We've (me and two of the emsemble girls)written her name (others have been added) on the mirror in our dressing room as a constant reminder. These girls are not believers, and your faithfulness is such an amazing testement to Christ for me to be able to share. Again, let us know if there is anything we can do for you physically. In Him ashley

Sharon and I are thinking about you all. We are so greatful for reports that God's abundance of goodness stands strong on your behalf in the middle of all things. We pray for His peace, pleasantness and joy to fill your hearts and minds exactly as he promises in Phillippians 4, and for a Merry Christmas for your precious family!

I am a Cambridge mom, receiving Wendy's precious updates. On the daily inspirational calendar in my kitchen (now 13 years old), Kay Arthur writes these words: "How does one bear up when suffering unjustly? Some of you are suffering unjustly and I ache for you. Suffering unjustly teaches us obedience and matures us." She then gives Hebrews 5:7-8: "(Jesus) offered up both prayers and supplications with loud crying and tears to Him who was able to save Him from death... although He was a Son, He learned obedience from the things which He suffered." I do not understand why He permits Sydney to suffer, but I do know that He is maturing many of us in our faith walk as we persevere in praying for her and your family. In His Love, Carol Bayless

Lynette and James,
I want you to know that our family is praying for sweet Sydney and for you many times each day.
As I wake the children up each morning they will ask first thing, "How's Sydney?" None of you are far from our minds at any time.
We pray for Sydney's miraculous healing; that the Lord would hold each of you tightly in the palm of His strong and saving Hand; and that each day He would strengthen you for that day and cleary reveal His presence, His provision and His Love for you. He is mighty to save.
Thank you for being such an inspiration to all of us.
Love,
Gigi
