Dear Lynette and James, We know how very tired you must be with so many challenges to face every day and that you are missing your precious boys, but we also know that your faith is unflagging. We pray for Sydney to be well enough to leave the hospital very, very soon.
We pray for Sydney's complete cure, for the Lord to continue to give you strength and for the entire Thweatt/Huffines family to come back home to Dallas, healthy and as soon as possible. With love, Aileen & Jack Pratt

Sydney and the whole family just continue to be in our prayers daily! I am so thankful for the amazing miracles that have gotten her here today and I pray feverently that the Lord will just wrap Sydney up in His precious hands and heal her, physically and mentally from her tough battle!
In Him,

We continue to pray for ALL of you every day. We can only imagine how challenging each day is for each of you, please forgive us when we say or do all the wrong things, or at least miss your deeper needs. I see Johnson every week at basketball practice with AJ and his other team mates. I couldn't help but note how tall he is getting, and those tennis shoes looked as if they could rival my own size. Your boys will all be stronger, better men for their families and for Christ because of the sacrifices they have had to make. No parent likes to see, hear, or imagine that they missed or neglected any part of their lives, but I know from my own experiences with my boys that they often do famously, despite what they may tell you. I pray this time between you will make you love and appreciate one another so much more when you are reunited. II Thessalonians 3:16 "May the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all tmes and in every way. The Lord be with all of you."
Please encourage Sydney to eat from this family of people who think constantly about their next meal. I am praying that she will experience the miracle of food that stays down, and Trust with every bite that it is working to nourish every part of her body.
Take care. Enjoy God's blessings.

Dear Lynette,

After our long visit on Sunday night I read my devotional on Monday. This is what it was:
Isaiah 65:24
"It shall come to pass that before they call I will answer; and while they are still speaking I will
He is Lord of circumstances, people, and possibilities we would never imagine. We've all had it happen.
Problems mount and we wonder how we are going to make it. Then we are given a thought that turns out to be the key to unlock the solution to some difficulty. A friend offers to help us. A windfall arrives in the mail. Someone we feared changes his attitude. Events take a sudden turn for the good. The Lord did it!
But by far the greatest evidence ot the Lord's intervention comes inside us. Suddenly, the empty wells of strength begin to fill up again. We are aware that we have courage where before we felt alone and afraid. A new perspective is given us. The only thing that matters is that we belong to the Lord and He is in charge. Our purpose is to live for Him and to serve other people.
The Lord leads to our hearts. A heart filled with HIm is given the precious gift of expectancy. He has plans for us. He has not given up on us or our needs. We can live with hope.
We are all hoping that Sydney will gain a great appetite and have a great desire to eat again all of her favorite things.
We hope for her to enjoy that Hello Kitty bathroom and to spend peaceful days in the apartment with Lynette reading, playing and yes eating together.
We hope and pray for a new surge of supernatural power of the Holy Spirit to give you strength and peace to get Sydney to the next stage of healing.

We love you,

Thank you, James for that sweet and honest letter. I feel like I can really sense how your family is doing. That helps when I pray.
Sweet Lynette, I know you are torn and I feel for you. It must be so very hard to wish you could be in two places at one time.
I love this simple verse:
"Do not be afraid, for I myself will help you," declares the Lord. Is. 41:14

thinking of you and praying,
Jill Chesnut

Hi Sydney, you don't know me I work for some friends of your family in Iraq setting up internet systems for the soldiers.

I wanted to write you and tell you that I am praying for you and have alot of faith that you will recover to full health. You look happy and cute in your pictures and I think you are going to be fine :)

I am in Iraq which is dangerous but I feel you are just as brave by going through your sickness and treatments every day.

1 year ago after my first Iraq deployment I developed a sickness that made me nausious every day for most of the day. I had to force myself to eat. That lasted for about 7 months untill I finally became well again and regained my apetite and went back to my normal. I hope you drink juices and try to eat slowley to help you get better.

I remember during that time I felt very discouraged often because felt so sick. I am praying that you will get your appetite again and grow strong soon.

I rember being 6 years old and losing my front teath. I remember reading books and being I liked having animals as pets alot at that age to. I hope you get healthy soon so you can get out of the hospital and move back to your house with your family.

Wish you the best and I'll be praying for you.

Sydney's Christmas miracle made the holiday so very meaningful and memorable. When we called Mom & Dad from Decatur on Christmas morning, they told us about Sydney's white cells and we all laughed, cried, and hugged. Then we laughed, cried, and hugged again! ha What an awesome God! Your journey has changed us all.
After all this time, it's only natural that you're longing for some sense of normalcy. God willing, we're hoping and praying that you're on the home stretch! We're so glad Sydney's back to being her spunky self. Hang in there! We're praying for y'all! We love you!
