Dear James, Lynette, Sydney, and family,

Psalm 46:1 For the choir director. A Psalm of the sons of Korah, set to Alamoth. A Song. God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble. 2 Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change And though the mountains slip into the heart of the sea; 3 Though its waters roar and foam, Though the mountains quake at its swelling pride. Selah. 4 There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, The holy dwelling places of the Most High. 5 God is in the midst of her, she will not be moved; God will help her when morning dawns. 6 The nations made an uproar, the kingdoms tottered; He raised His voice, the earth melted. 7 The LORD of hosts is with us; The God of Jacob is our stronghold. Selah. 8 Come, behold the works of the LORD, Who has wrought desolations in the earth. 9 He makes wars to cease to the end of the earth; He breaks the bow and cuts the spear in two; He burns the chariots with fire. 10 "Cease striving and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth." 11 The LORD of hosts is with us; The God of Jacob is our stronghold. Selah.

With love and all prayers in Christ Jesus,

The Son family

Our dear friends, We are praying for you daily. We love you and ache for you. I have read the beautiful prayers that are in the guestbook, and I marvel; and yet, why should I marvel that our Sovereign Lord has put your family on the hearts of so many. He is strong and mighty! He is our everlasting hope! He is our strong tower! His mercy endures forever. I pray that you cling to Him in each difficult moment. I am praying that the Lord will strengthen Sydney and the rest of you and that He will be glorified in each of our lives.

Love,
Marlyn

I am so sad to read that Sydney went from better to worse. My parents asked about her everytime I call. Daddy said "Sydney has become a family member who you deeply care about."

Colossians 1:17b "in Him all things hold together." The Lord Jesus is holding Sydney. He is also holding Lynette, James, the boys and medical team all together. Nothing is beyond His power or control. I am praying that He is preparing Sydney for another miracle that will once again show a watching world His faithfulness.

With Christ's love and mine,
Cynthia

Lynette and James,
I continue to pray with boldness and hope for Sydney's healing and return to Dallas. The prayer gathering in your yard last week was very much in that spirit. Sarah and I shed many tears and pray many prayers for Sydney. It is hard being so far removed physically from you when you are in my thoughts continually, so I want to thank you for your updates on Sydney.
Love,
Mary Linda

We are praying as a family nightly. Scott and I are praying individually throughout the day. We ache with you. We seek our precious Lord's strength and comfort for you and healing for Sydney. Great is His faithfulness.

Dear Lynette and James,

We continue to remember Sydney and you all in our prayers -- wrestling in prayer for you. We know that our God is able to do all miracles and wonders and we pray for his grace towards Sydney and you both. Lynette, we will pray for God's comfort at night when all appears dark and hopeless.

I saw James recently; your boys are growing to be such fine young men. I submitted a few pictures I had of him from the 1st & 5th grades to the yearbook.
Blessings, Christine
