"Now we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven not built by human hands. Meanwhile we groan, longing to be clothed with our heavenly dwelling, because when we are clothed we will not be found naked. For while we are in this tent we groan and are burdened, because we don't wish to be uhclothed but to be clothed with our heavenly dwelling, so that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life. Now it is God who has made us for this very purpose and has given us the Spirit as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come." 2Cor. 5
"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles..." 2Cor. 1:3-4
We mourn with you and pray earnestly that you would continue to keep your eyes on Jesus and be comforted by the Father.

Precious Theweatt Family, below is one of our families favorite hymns that has brought us great comfort and hope in our own personal pain and loss. Know that we too grieve with you, but celebrate Sydney's homecoming.

Sam, Cheryl, Jacqueline & Samuel Joyner

Jesus, lover of my soul, let me to Thy bosom fly,
While the nearer waters roll, while the tempest still is high.
Hide me, O my Savior, hide, till the storm of life is past;
Safe into the haven guide; O receive my soul at last.

Other refuge have I none, hangs my helpless soul on Thee;
Leave, ah! leave me not alone, still support and comfort me.
All my trust on Thee is stayed, all my help from Thee I bring;
Cover my defenseless head with the shadow of Thy wing.

Wilt Thou not regard my call? Wilt Thou not accept my prayer?
Lo! I sink, I faint, I fallGÇöLo! on Thee I cast my care;
Reach me out Thy gracious hand! While I of Thy strength receive,
Hoping against hope I stand, dying, and behold, I live.

Thou, O Christ, art all I want, more than all in Thee I find;
Raise the fallen, cheer the faint, heal the sick, and lead the blind.
Just and holy is Thy Name, I am all unrighteousness;
False and full of sin I am; Thou art full of truth and grace.

Plenteous grace with Thee is found, grace to cover all my sin;
Let the healing streams abound; make and keep me pure within.
Thou of life the fountain art, freely let me take of Thee;
Spring Thou up within my heart; rise to all eternity.

"Jesus,I Come"
Out of my bondage, sorrow, and night,
Jesus, I come, Jesus, I come;
Into Thy freedom, gladness, and light,
Jesus, I come to Thee;
Out of my sickness, into Thy health,
Out of my want and into Thy wealth,
Out of my sin and into Thyself,
Jesus, I come to Thee.

Out of my shameful failure and loss,
Jesus, I come, Jesus, I come;
Into the glorious gain of Thy cross,
Jesus, I come to Thee.
Out of earth's sorrows into Thy balm,
Out of life's storms and into Thy calm,
Out of distress to jubilant psalm,
Jesus, I come to Thee.

Out of unrest and arrogant pride,
Jesus, I come, Jesus, I come;
Into Thy bless+¿d will to abide,
Jesus, I come to Thee.
Out of myself to dwell in Thy love,
Out of despair into raptures above,
Upward for aye on wings like a dove,
Jesus, I come to Thee.

Out of the fear and dread of the tomb,
Jesus, I come, Jesus, I come;
Into the joy and light of Thy throne,
Jesus, I come to Thee.
Out of the depths of ruin untold,
Into the peace of Thy sheltering fold,
Ever Thy glorious face to behold,
Jesus, I come to Thee.

I want to let you know that I am very sorry for the loss, But Sydney is in a far better place now. I am at school writting you and i just can't stop thinking about your beutiful daughter. I didn't spend that much time with her but I remember it very clearly. Sydney was never selfish or rude. She was so funny and treated me like a sister or a best friend. She had so much enegry. She was so funny and very likeable. I have a picture of her and I in my room, we are both dresses in purple, she was in a purple frilly ballerina costume with lace everywhere! We are hugging each other and smilling with our gums showing all the way! Sydney made me think to treat life differently. She might of not been on earth for very long, but she sure changed many peoples lives and made big impressions on them! Sydney will surely be missed by her smile and helping her compassion to everyone! She was a special person not many people are like your daughter.

I just can't imagine what you are going through, yet we rest in and know that God is good. We look forward to being able to hug you in person. Lynette & James -- your testimony and walk through this trial have brought so much glory to our great God's name. How pleased He must be with you! ... May his peace and comfort abound in an immeasurable way.

We look forward to the day when we will be hugging sweet Sydney in her completely restored body.

We love you guys.

Dear Family,
We pray for each of you as you begin the journey home. Words cannot express how we feel for you in this time of great need. My comfort comes form knowing that Sydney is now free of pain and is at peace. What an amazing young girl, so full of wisdom and courage. My thoughts are with each of you and know we are there for your boys and you. We love you and await your return. Patty

My heart is breaking as I read that "our" little Sydney has flown away home. I have prayed with your family for a year and I will continue to lift you up.

Dear James & Lynette,

Although we've not yet met as Sydney took ill shortly before we came to Providence, I want you to know that your family has been on our hearts and in our prayers daily. My children are Scout, 9, and Sydney, 13. Your faith in Him, and strength throughout this journey has been an incredible example to our family and for that, I thank you. Our prayers are with you. In Him, Sunny, Sydney and Scout Morris.

Dear Thweats
We are friends of the Bentleys and have had the priveledge of praying for your family over the past months/years. My heart is ripped for you this morning and I can hardly type through the tears. I am begging the Lord to give you His peace that passes all understanding and for comfort in knowing she is the glorious presence of our Savior. And for Lynette, from one mother to another, I have asked the Lord to remind me of you often in the future so I can pray that you will be sustained and He will be glorofied through all of this.

There are more people than you will EVER be aware of who have been so touched and amazed by your strength and the astounding witness you have been--Lynette and James. Because of my g'son, Russell with ALL, our entire family has become "so involved" with love, prayers and hopes for you and your precious daughter, Sydney. Now, there are NO words we can say that will help. Just KNOW the entire Baker Family is praying for you. Bonny, Russell's mom and I have been talking a lot the last week. We spoke last night after we saw the posting of Sept. 30. A number of times lately Bonny has suddenly awakened with Sydney on her heart and always sends up prayers for all of you. Most recently one night this week she was startled awake about 4 a.m. and began praying. Having been in the hospital so often with Russell and seeing so many other children, she has had a heart for your family from the first.
We are relieved Sydney is at this moment in the arms of our Lord with a huge smiled on her face and feeling well, alive and so happy and full of energy. She awaits all of you and what a joyful homecoming that will be. For now, stay strong in the Lord and your faith. We feel so strongly that someone has been touched by her, the Lord always uses these circumstances to touch lives, as our understanding of what she has gone thru as well as your family, remains a mystery. The doctors and nurses who have attended to her thru these last months will NEVER BE THE SAME AGAIN!!
In Christ's Name We Pray For You during this time. Nancy Baker

You all have encouraged through your faith and transparency. You have shared yourselves and your precious daughter in an incomparable manner. You have fought the good fight against not just the disease but against despair. YOu have been the finest parents and such loving, selfless examples for so many of us.
We will always miss your beautiful feisty daughter and will have to remind ourselves that we too are merely passing through this earth in order to be comforted.
What wonderful boys you have--it is so moving to think of what great brothers they have been to Sydney--may the Lord's blessings continue to sustain your whole family.
Little Sydney is now healed but it will take a while for the rest of us to recover.
With much love,
Sarah Perot

Shedding tears of sadness for you, and joy for Sydney to be free of her discomfort in her special place in heaven. As someone else has said "she has earned her wings"!

It brings me so much sadness to be writing you this note. I'm so sorry to hear about Syndey even though I know she is now whole again and at peace. Lynette and James, your walk with Sydney over the last 1 -+ years has had such a significant impact on so many peoples lives. Sydney truly touched everyone with her special gifts of strength, feistiness and determination. You and all of your family's amazing focus on God has had a profound affect on my life, as I know others, who have followed Sydney's journey. I offer my condolences to all of you. I will continue to pray that God bring you and your family peace.
