Dear Sydney,
Your mom was in my BSF group last year and we prayed for you often! Now we have that privilege again to see God glorified through you! Keep on telling your friends and doctors about Jesus and his special answers for you already! We rejoice in the good news about a donor and about the fun trip you will take soon. Mr. Maxwell saw your Daddy and brothers at church this Sunday - all with shaved heads. They look kinda funny, but they clearly are telling everyone that they love you - even more than having hair. I am so thankful for your family! We will continue to pray specifically for the things you have asked! Remember Abraham's servant who prayed for God's help in finding a wife for Isaac. God answered every prayer and He will again and again!

Hope you are all doing well. Just found out today, 6/15, of Sydneys illness. I will pray and hope the very best for her. I just can't stand the thought of a child being sick. I wish I could trade places with her. Love you all. Love Mike.

We are continuing to pray your requests and think often of you. God says "Do not fear, for I am with you; do not anxiously look around you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand." (Isaiah 41:10) May you continue to feel the strength of His hand each day in this journey.

I have regretted my e-mail being down for so long. Please know that I have been keeping up with you and praying for you both and Sydney. I pray that God will give both of you strength and wisdom and to give you a calmness which derives from complete faith in the Father Almighty. It sounds like you are being given all of this and that you are able to keep Sydney positive as well as yourselves. Praise be to God. A very good friend of mine has had a great and very positive experience with Sloan-Kettering. That is good news that you are going there when the time comes. Lynette--I pray for you all several times each day. You are in my heart and on my mind. Most often when I'm reading the Bible--my thoughts turn to you. In II Cor. it talks about being under great pressure "far beyond our ability to endure" "that we might rely on God and not on ourselves" "he will deliver us. On him we have set our hope as you help us by your prayers--Then many will give thanks on our behalf for the gracious favor granted us in answer to the prayers of many."
