Dear Lynnette and James,
I am a friend of Susan Esco's. I came across these verses that I've prayed for you and thought you might find comfort in them. You all are an amazing inspiration. I will continue praying for you all.
"Eventhough I am weary and discouraged, I will praise you..give me energy for this task, Lord" (from couples Bible, I'm not sure what verse though) "Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit to sustain me"(Ps.51)
"My way is hidden from the Lord; my cause is disregarded from God? Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and His understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak...those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar like wings on eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not grow faint" (Is.40:27-31)
In His Love,
Penny Harper

I'm a friend of Laurie and Sharon and I rec'd their "mom e moment" and read up on Sydney's condition. I have been a dental hygienist for 15 yrs and I don't claim to know anything about the sores that Sydney has in her mouth and esophagus, but if I may make a suggestion that you might run by her doctor, that would be for her to take chewable acidophylus tablets, which are over the counter, several times a day. I use these for myself and recommend them for my patients when they have canker sores. It really helps restore the normal 'flora' in the mouth and speeds healing in my opinion. But only the chewable ones work not the ones you swallow whole. Make it a great day! God Bless and you all have a Merry Christmas celebration!

Praying for Sydney,
Julie Spence

Thank you for the updates. You continue to be such an encouragement to us and all of your friends. We will continue to faithfully pray for Sydney amd all of your family. We know the same God who left all of the privileges of heaven to come to earth to a stable as a baby boy on the first Christmas Day so he could one day save his people is still here with Sydney and your entire family and holding you tightly in his loving hands. May Sydney's healing be all of our Christmas present this year. God bless and we love you guys.

We are continuing in our prayer coverage for your family. We will "hug" Sydney in our prayers and "hug" you from afar all the while wishing we could hug you in person.

We will check back often for updates.

I know the Lord will continue to hold you during this time.

Love to each of you!

We are so enthused and hopeful with your latest updates. Our whole family keeps you in constant vigil. Faye asks me almost every morning to help her write "Sydney" on her hand. As I was going through last year's Christmas cards a couple of weeks ago I came across yours from last year and have kept it on my nightstand and slept with it under my pillow last week during the transplant. I know it seems silly but I so want to hold her and you in constant vigil. I love the photo of her today - she looks great!! Your stamina and faith and testimony continue to amaze and inspire me. Thank you for so honestly and openly sharing your hearts and souls. May we never cease to see His miracles and work in this place. Hugs to all! Dina and Rod

Claire

Words fail me after reading your last update; thank you for your brutal honesty and immense love you share with each of us. We, along with your faithful prayer warriors, are praying specifically for your requests throughout the day. As you know the West Dallas students, faculty, administration, and staff are praying for you. Throughout the day I am constantly being asked about Sydney's progress from my students, their love and compassion for Sydney is so very genuine.

May you find rest and comfort in the arms of our Lord; God bless you!
Angela

I am so pleased to hear that some things are getting better, and that you have tangible cause for continued hope. It is always more reassuring to know that you have chosen God's path when all of the details are affirmed with positive signs.
It is truly humbling to know that you have trusted not only God, but the good intentions of so many friends that desire nothing more than to serve you in any way possible in your journey. Thank you. I know God will continue to be faithful. I will keep you in my heart and prayers. Have a blessed Christmas.
As ever,
Mary

Hello James & Lynette,

My wife is Michelle Crull who used to teach at Providence. I am deeply touched and moved by your strength through this. Sydney is a precious little girl who is incredibly strong for her age. I will continue to pray for your entire family, especially through this Christmas season. May GOD continue to sustain your family and be glorified through this.

In Christ, Greg

"The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears them; He delivers them from all their troubles. The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." -Psalm 34:17-18
