James and Lynette,

Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit.

I just finished praying for Sydney. God is Faithful. I want you to know that in September, my aunt was diagnosed with Leukemia and has been in the hospital undergoing treatment since early October. She is 73 years old and there have been many days that she too has been in "deadly waters". Her blood count has been as low as 200 and the doctor's had literally given up on her. As of yesterday, her blood count was in the normal range. I am telling you this because we received a call from the doctor, who had to confess that what he had seen was a miracle. He that the doctor's had nothing to do with her recovery. We knew that God had to bring her to the point of death so that neither man nor medicine could take away the glory that belongs to the Lord.

It is my prayer that God is at work in Sydney in the same way. After I had finished praying, in that way, I came to your page and saw Lynette's opening scripture. Which is the same scripture that I put on my desk at the beginning of the week. I know that God is not a God of coincidence, and that He is ministering to you through that verse. Stay faithful. I am continuing to pray.

Love,
Kim

I don't know you and you don't me either, however I was told about you all through my ladies bible weekly study. I have been following everything you guys are going through for the past month and my heart breaks sooo much. I am keeping Sydney in prayer and I know God is with her. I will continue to pray each and everyday. Prayer works miracles and this I know as I have many stories of my own. Much Love & Blessings, Sherry Sparacino & family.

I have beautiful Sydney's picture set as my desktop image, so I cannot look at my computer without being reminded to pray for her; strangely, I constantly sense that, in whatever small way God may use my prayers to bless Sydney, God is using Sydney's suffering in much greater ways to bless me and many others. Isn't that the very essence of Christianity, to bless others through one's own suffering? Isn't that what Christ Jesus did on the cross? Isn't that the way in which we are most conformed to His image, by taking up the cross, bearing it, and becoming partakers in His suffering? We may not understand why God would give a cross to a child, but we know that this is the very essence of the Gospel, for He gave a cross to His darling Son. That makes Sydney more like Christ than most of us. That means both Sydney and we can find peace in the sufferings of Jesus.

Hi James and Lynette,
I am writing to you from TCA where I have Libby Huffines as a student in my Drama class. She has been faithfully presenting Sydney's needs before us all year and today we took time as a class to interceed for her. We then went on the website to look at pictures and read more of her journey. All the students were really touched and I know very committed to keep praying for her. Standing with you all and believing God for a miracle!!
Love, Dawna Debter

I wanted to let you know that there is a new angel in Heaven watching over Sydney. His name is Temple Dickson. Maryanne McCloud shared the verse James wrote in his Nov. 24th entry with my mother during the past year. We used it at my Dad's service on Saturday morning under a beautiful West Texas sky. I know that this is one of the truest and kindest verses that provides great comfort. We are praying in Kentucky for Sydney. Again, let us remember "The Lord your God is with you, He is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing." (Zephaniah 3:17)

Love to you all.

Our son, Noah, was in E3 with Sydney last year. Peggy Dauster asked me to pray for our "Sweet Sydney" a couple of days ago. I came to the website and was amazed at the encouragement you give to all of us in the midst of what you are enduring. We are indeed praying for "Sweet Sydney" and the rest of your family. I hope that all the notes and letters you receive encourage you and your family as much as you have done for us. What a blessing you are in the midst of this trial.

"My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness."
2 Cor. 12:9

He giveth more grace when the burdens grow greater, He sendeth more strength when the labors increase; To added affliction He addeth His mercies, to multiplied trials His multiplied peace.

When we have exhausted our store of endurance, when our strength has failed ere the day is half done, when we reach the end of our hoarded resources Our Father's full giving is only begun.

His love has no limit, His grace has no measure, His power no boundary known unto men; For out of His infinite riches in Jesus He giveth and giveth and giveth again.
Annie Johnson Flint

Still praying according to His will for a miraculous healing.
God Bless,
Janet Brownlee

Thweatt Family,
Our bible study lifted up your family last night. You are constantly in our hearts and prayers. We are so thankful for Sydney, and for her spirit and hope. We are begging the Lord for a miracle.
We've also been so thankful for this website. Your family is extending the kingdom beyond the hospital and into my life, as well as the other 7 24 year olds in my bible study. Praise God.
We love you. We were so convicted last night that our bodies are not made for this world. We are so fragile and he is in control. Praise the Lord!
Much love,
Anne Schaufele
