This verse is near to my heart for Sydney Psalm 27 "The Lord is my light and my salvation- whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life - whom shall I be afraid? When my enemies and foes attack me (pathogens), they will stumble and fall. Though an army besiege me, my heart will not fear, though war break out against me, even then will I be confident. One thing I ask of the Lord, this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple. For in the day of trouble he will keep my safe in his dwelling; He will hide me in the shelter of his tabernacle and set me high upon a rock. Then my head will be exalted above the enemies who surround me;at his tabernacle will I sacrifice with shouts of joy; I will sing and make music to the Lord....I am still confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord;be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord."

Have been following your blog from Ohio about your very courageous daughter and am constantly moved to tears, though we've never met. I have a son the same age and cannot imagine how extraordinarily hard this must be for all of you. Please take comfort in knowing you have been adding to yet another prayer tonight!

Praise God!!! I'm rejoicing with you that Sydney was able to have the transplant. My prayers for Sydney are that God will continue to be glorified through her life and for her complete physical healing. Thank you, Lord, for the gift of intercessory prayer!!! I'm amazed at His desire for us to be partners with HIM in prayer. Thank you, Jesus, for your love and care for Sydney and her family. AMEN!!!

We are rejoicing for the answered prayer that you posted tonight! I am praying that the Lord, Who knit Sydney together in Lynette's womb, will knit her together now- knitting the graft bone marrow into her bones as if it is her own. That she will begin to produce healthy bone marrow cells of her own. That she will be strengthened mightily and healed completely because we know that NOTHING is impossible with God. We will continue to pray! With love and thanksgiving to God, Debbie Van Wagoner

Today at church the message from the pastor was: JOY! I join you in your JOY as you watch miracles unfold from Sydney's bedside. One of my favorite things to hear Moms and Dads talk about is the birth of their children. Each story, from conception to delivery, is miraculous. No story of the beginning of life is ever described as "unremarkable". I just grin when I later see these same children playing in a soccer game, sitting at chapel, running, laughing, etc. and I rejoice in knowing that I am watching a living miracle! I can't wait to enjoy that same feeling when I see Sydney restored to good health. Thank you, God, for your grace and for answered prayer. Still praying and believing, Mary

Dear Sydney, I am so excited to hear the news, You just rest your little body and let god do his work in you.
You have come so far and it has been so hard for you. So many people have prayed and are praying for you and your healing. Constantly you are in my heart and prayers. Sleep well and show them how strong you are.

Dear James, Lynette and Family, Joyous news in your recent letter. Miracles do occur! We have all been waiting and holding our breath each day as we waited for time to pass and hoping that the news would be good, and it is indeed! We have been praying so hard for Sydney and you and our prayers were answered. We are anxious for our trip to New York in hopes of at least seeing you and the family. We just want you all to know that we love you and we pray for you and Sydney daily. We are also praying for the fungus to stay away, for Sydney to remain healthy and for her health to be completely restored. God certainly has some interesting plans and we all are wondering what they are and where it will lead us. We pray that he will keep all of you and us in his hands and guide us to do what is right and good. The transplant wait is now over and we thank God for that. Now we wait to see if it has begun to take. I am remaining faithfully in all ways, Patty

My thoughts and prayers are with Sydney and the whole family.
"I have called you back from the ends of the earth so you can serve me. For I have chosen you and will not throw you away. Don't be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. I will help you. I will uphold you with my victorious right hand." (Isaiah 41:9-10)
"Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord is the one who goes before you. He will be with you; He will neither fail you nor forsake you. " (Deut. 31:8)
I am trusting God to uphold Sydney and the family with His "VICTORIOUS" right hand and to show Himself mightily.

I kinda want to shout with joy (softly) after reading the report today. I come to the computer everyday and check on this precious and amazingly brave child. Our lessons this morning in church were to wait patiently for the Lord but at the same time have expectations of the goodness that is to come. Prepare for it. Isaiah 40:27 How can you say that the Lord doesn't see our troubles and isn't being fair? Don't you yet understand? Don't you know by now that the everlasting God, the Creator of the farthest parts of the earth, never grows faint or weary? No one can grab the depths of his understanding. He gives power to the tired and worn out, and strentgh to the weak. So lets be patient and believe! And thanks always for keeping us informed. I pray our prayers are keeping you in peace. Our love to Big Sydney, JL and your entire family.....Jan and Don
