Hi Thweatts,
Our family was away on vacation for 2 weeks, and we prayed for your family everyday, many times a day, and couldn't wait to get back to hear how Sydney is doing. Your latest news is so encouraging, and yet, our hearts are aching that you are having to wait and wait. We feel so strongly that Sydney will be completely healed, so we will pray especially for patience and peace during the waiting. We're pulling for you!! Thanks for inspiring our family to enjoy each other more, to be better sports about everything, and to celebrate the simple things in life.

Much love, The Bushes

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I only have a glimmer of an idea of what you must be going through. My (adult) older brother has mantle cell lymphoma and has had similar side effects/infections. May you continue to have strength and wisdom in this difficult time. Peace.

Dear Lynette and James-
Thank you again for keeping us informed of Sydney's progress. Though we think and pray for her everyday, we sometimes lose sight of the specifics. As always, with this brutal disease it is little steps for little feet. I know having the entire family there is an amazing boost for Sydney and Lynette. I also know that the attitude of the boys is in no small part a reflection of their parents. Your both continue to be such an example of Christian parenting to us all. We praise God for the reduction of the fungus and the gvhd. I pray that today is a strengthing day for Sydney and Lynnette. Much Love, Dee Ann

Dear Thweatt family,
In God we ALWAYS have hope: "We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure." Hebrews 6:19
May your hope stay steadfastly in Him and His promises to you.
love to you all,
Sarah Faulkner

I have been praying through Isaiah 43 for you. It is all so beautiful but here is just a sweet portion. "But now says the Lord, he who created you, O Thweatts, he who formed you, O Thweatts; I have called you by name, you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you and through the the rivers they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through the fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you. For I am the Lord your God, the Holy one of Israel, you Savior.....I, I am the Lord, and besides me there is no Savior." We love you and continue to pray for all of you. I was hoping to see an update on how Sydney is tolerating the drug for the fungus and any other updates.

I was reading over the weekend Malachi and ran across Chapter 3 versus 1-3 that talks about the Refiner's fire. The Refiner's fires purpose is to burn away the dross (impurities)to purify the silver. The silversmith knows the perfect time to remove the silver from the fire - that is when he can see his image in the silver. You are in the Refiner's fire being purified to reflect Christ's image to a watching world.

I continue to keep Sydney, Lynette and the Thweatt family in my daily thoughts and prayers.

With Christ's love and mine,
Cynthia

We are encouraged that Sydney is doing better. Your family continues to amaze us in the way they look adversity in the face everyday and fight through it with such spiritual conviction. Sydney is such a special little girl!

Sydney-may you continue to find joy in all the little details of God's creation. He has blessed you with such imagination, courage, and strength. I love hearing that you are painting--just like your mommy. I would love to see some of your pictures soon. I miss you and look forward to having you back in Dallas as soon as the doctors release you.

Lynette--Hang in there. You are being lifted up daily in prayer. I hope that you will be renewed as your family is together over the summer months. I love reading your updates and seeing how God is continually giving you scripture to lean on and help you through to the next day or week. I love you.

Donna

Agnes Sanford
My body is made of non-aging/deteriorating substance of God.
In my imagination I see its perfect form.
I rejoice in its increasing strength and vigor.
I bless it, I praise it, I give thanks for it.
The outer most layer of my soul.

May these words add to your strength.
Love, Linda

I am truly amazed by your faithfulness to the Lord.
Your journal entries are a ministry and anyone who reads them is touched by your commitment. They have uplifted me in my faith and I pray nightly for healing for Sydney and your family.

Happy Father's Day to James! How wonderful to spend it with all 4 children. I am sure that Sydney planned a big celebration, even if it was with imaginary food. Our sermon on Sunday was on the measure of success. And that the true measure of success is how much you are a servant like Christ. I would say that James is succesful beyond measure on this scale, continually serving the family during a very long year. I pray that this day is a restorative one for Sydney and the entire family and that it turns into a restorative week and on and on. love, DeeAnn

Happy Father's Day Big Daddy James,
Malachi 4:6
He will turn the hearts of the fathers to their children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers; or else I will come and strike the land with a curse.
This verse was used today in a Father's Day service at our church. It is the last words in the Old Testament. It was charging God's people to hold fast to the law and teach their children God's faithfulness.
Then the message of the Gospels arrives!!
I am so glad that you continue to live out your life in witness to what our Lord can do through the Holy Spirit in you. And that your passing this on to your children.
It is the greatest gift.
I love you and your family and blessings to all,

Susan, Kyle, Zach, Michelle,Scott and Rosie
