Greetings to the "Thweatt Team!" So, Sydney, you are headed back to New York. Did you know that New York City is also called the "Big Apple"? Maybe you can find out why it is called that and tell me. Just remember that you are taking a lot of Texas angels and prayers with you! Your suitcase will be full of love from here to there! Blessings! Betsy Hickman

Dear Sydney, We want you to remind your sweet mom to keep her armor and breast plate of righteousness on. And don't forget to keep yours on, too!Your positive attitude and childlike faith inspire us! "Out of the mouths of babes" Psalm 8:2 You're a very wise young lady. We'll be sure to keep our armor on, too! All of our love to all of you, Ted and Cyndy

Hi Sydney, It was such a privilege to talk with your father at the Regatta in Fort Worth last month. As friends, we want our friendships to point us to Jesus and draw us closer to Him. I left that conversation so blessed by your father's words about you, your mother, your brothers and our Lord! He truly delights im each of you!Your family is a beautiful witness of God's grace and love for us all--thank you! The Evanses continue to pray for you daily. Love, Mrs. Evans p.s. It was fun to watch your brother at the Regatta, too--he's a terrific rower!

Hi Thweatts--I am amazed each time I check in with the amount of faith you all have--especially Sydney. The Lord listens to each prayer that is lifted up and never leaves your side. What a comfort to know we are a part of His flock. Our family is praying for Sydney's healing and your strength.
Blessings to you all... Taylor, Jennifer, Colin, Emily, Sarah and Mary

Hey Sydney, I made a tape for you so you can practice with your flag and see some of the moves we're learning now. I hope you like it. Has your brother made the pole yet? I can check on you borrowing one if you need it for practice. Your friend, Christina

What a blessing and gift from the Lord to actually get to "sneak a peek" at his gracious work on Sydney's behalf. I just picture you, Lynette, walking on the water, through the storm, focusing on Jesus and counting on His promises (His WORD)---indeed the DAILY BREAD as your provision---what a beautiful picture of your faith to Him and to a "cloud of many witnesses". I will continue to pray you will see His hand at work on Sydney's behalf. Be encouraged!! Libby

I AM WRITING A QUICK NOTE, TO GIVE AN UPDATE, PLEASE FORGIVE US FOR NOT UPDATING SOONER. SYDNEY IS A MIRACLE IN MY OPINION. OTHER THAN HER FEW DAYS OF BLINDNESS AND A FEW MOUTH SORES SHE DID GREAT THROUGH THE VERY STRONG CHEMO. WE WENT TO CLINIC ON TUESDAY FOR PLATLETS AND WHEN WE GOT HOME SYDNEY HAD FEVER. WE WENT BACK TO THE HOSPITAL AND ARE STILL THERE. SYDNEY STILL HAS A GREAT ATTITUDE AND BESIDES THE ONE DAY OF FEVER SHE FEELS VERY GOOD. THE DOCTORS CAME IN TODAY AND ASKED IF WE WANTED TO GO HOME AND SHE SAID "YES" UNLESS THAT IS A PROBLEM. HE TOLD HER IT WAS A PROBLEM BECAUSE SHE MIGHT GET ANOTHER FEVER AND SHE HAS NO IMMUNE SYSTEM AND IT COULD MAKE HER VERY SICK. SHE SAID O.K. WE'LL STAY! SO WE ARE STAYING UNTIL MONDAY AND WILL SEE WHERE SHE IS AT THAT POINT. THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR CONTINUED PRAYERS, WE ARE BEING COMFORTED. LOVE, LYNETTE PSALM 23 (SYDNEY'S CLASS IS MEMORIZING THIS PSALM)
P.S. ONE OF THE BABIES WE ARE PRAYING FOR (JESSICA) IS IN REMISSION AND IS GOING HOME. PRAISE THE LORD.

Hi Sydney and Lynette,
My name is Jennifer Waters and I met the two of you last spring at Mary Linda and Jonathon Lipe's home (I live across the street from them). I was probably with my big black dog, Jackson nüè, who the Lipe kids adore.
Mary Linda and Sarah told me about your diagnosis and I haven't stopped thinking and praying for y'all since then. They wanted me to know because a week later I was going to hike the Grand Canyon in the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Hike For Discovery program and they were one of my sponsors. HFD is the LLS's new adventure fundraising program that prepares people, from beginners to seasoned hikers, to experience a natural wonder in a special way. I couldn't help but think and pray for you and your family the whole weekend.
So what I am telling you this after all these months? I have become even more active in the HFD program and would like to ask you and your family something...... (Mary Linda might have already mentioned this to you, Lynette) I am coaching the next HFD team (their goal is to raise $110K for LLS again) and I was wondering if Sydney would be one of the team's Honored Heroes. Each season the team has one or more honored heroes whose story is told (and followed) and meets the team, if possible. I understand that Sydney's immune system will not allow that right.
You have the most amazing strength and courage and spirit and are such an inspiration to everyone who has heard your story. I would love to share it my team as they train for the hike and fundraise to help find a cure.
You are in my thoughts and prayers. Jennifer Bates Waters 972.658.5469 JLBATES@TI.COM http://www.hikefordiscovery.org
