Dearest Thweatt Family - Thank you for your faith-filled, transparent updates. You appreciate you allowing us to share in a part of this battle. We're sorry to say that our evening schedules will keep us from the prayer vigil for Ms. Sydney; we wish we could be there in person, but must settle to join in Spirit. Please send our hellos, love, and a big Happy BIrthday to Sydney. We still check in on her everyday!
Much love to all,

...'Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit', says the Lord Almighty. "What are you, O mighty mountain? Before Zerubbabel you will become level ground. Then he will bring out the capstone to shouts of 'God bless it! God bless it!'"

I was supposed to be your godmother but didn't know how and fortunately wasn't needed. Apparently, the Lord had plans to raise you in His faith Himself. I cannot go to the prayer service in person but will add my presence in spirit. You have and will be in my heart. Love, Edy

Lynette and James, The work of the comforting Holy Spirit was evident as I read the chronologic progression of your emailed updates. The "peace that passes all understanding" is a testimony of God's presence in you. We will be praying for successful, speedy surgery and uneventful recovery. Praise the Lord that that wonderful surgeon has chosen the less agressive surgery and is expecting good results! Janie and Pat Hamner

Dear Lynette and James,
My prayers continue for you and Sydney as you face each day with a renewed strength from the Lord.
You who live in the shelter of the Most High, who abide in the shadow of the Almighty, will say to the Lord, "My refuge and my fortress; my God in whom I trust." (Psalm 91:1-2)
Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you. For I am the Lord you God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior. (Isaiah 43:1b-3a)
My prayers will be with Sydney all day Wednesday for a successful lung surgery and recovery.
Love you and miss you terribly.

As always, I'm humbled and amazed at the way your family is so steadfastly remaining, through faith, in the safety of our Father. I begin to feel ill just trying to put myself in your shoes even for a day. I think we can all confidently tell you that your testimony of the truth in God's promise of peace is resounding. My thoughts are drawn to sweet Sydney and your entire family in almost every Psalm I read ... whether it is David pleading for rescue from his enemies (Sydney's rescue from cancer) or David claiming God's sufficiency and glory (your countless praises for answered prayer) -- your prayers and praises are alive in the Psalms.
Our commitment to pray for you has not and will not waver. Sydney's name is on the tip of our tongue as we enter His presence each morning and as we continue through and end the day. Praise Him whose power and love has no boundary. His faithfulness no end.
