James and Lynette, Thank you for your gift of sharing your journey, especially during these very rough spots. We are out here with truly countless others praying for you and Sydney. I pray that Sydney had a better day and that the drugs are eradicating the fungus. I hope as unwanted as the feeding tube is that it provides some strength and nourishment to help build her back up. Remember that you have the most important tools to fight this battle: love and faith. "On Christ, the solid Rock, I stand, All other ground is siking sand." love and prayers for all the Thweatts and Youngs-Dee Ann

Dear Lynette and James
My heart grows heavy and aches for your precious family as we read what is going on at this time--We continue to pray for Sydney and I wanted to tell you we have been calling on the Holy Spirit for help as we pray for you and your family in this battle!--"The Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God's will." Romans 8:26 in his love salli shanahan and family

Father we've asked for healing for Sydney and we know our prayers are being heard. There's a battle going on for this precious little girl's life and we aren't giving up. We'll continue to pray and stand strong for her. Father, surround her family with a supernatural peace. Help them be able to rest and renew their strength! Increase their hope. Let them see You working on Sydney's behalf. Destroy the bad fungus in her little body. Help the medicines work in her to do all they're suppose to do and don't allow any bad side effects!! Father surround Sydney with your glory. We know You are ever full of compassion and mercy and you see our heartaches. Even when we start to doubt... you're right there with us, surrounding us with your love. You hold onto us and tell us not to give up. The miracle is so close. You keep us strong, and we'll coninue to hold Sydney up to your throne room. Lord, we thank you for loving us so much that even our smallest hurts touch your heart. Thank you for Sydney's life. Thank you for Your miracle power that is working in her body right now. Lord, we love you and we thank you even now... even though we can't yet see it with our natural eyes yet... we thank you for restoring Sydney and making her stronger than she ever was. In Jesus name we pray and believe this miracle is happening.
Lynette sweetie, hang on!!!! That miracle is there and soon we're going to be able to see it and testify of it!!!

I check Sydney's website every couple of days. When I read James's Aug 17 posting, I thought, "How much more can that poor child and her family endure?" I just don't know. She has battled so hard. You will continue to be in my prayers. Im just so sorry.

I have a card I keep on my vanity table that says "Joy is not the absence of suffering but the presence of God." When we suffer God is present and gives us supernatural joy to face the circumstances. Just as Hebrew 12:2b says "who [Christ} for the joy set before Him endured the suffering of the Cross, scorning its shame, an sat down at the right hand of the throne of God." It was God's will for Him to endure such suffering to bring salvation to all that believe in Him. Before that verse it says to "Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us." May all of us who have experienced as well as believe in God's restoration power be that cloud of witnesses to you as Sydney, James, Lynette and her brothers run this race marked out for you. "Keep your eye of Jesus, the author and perfector of our faith." Continue to persevere and do not lose hope. My prayers are with you.
With Christ's love and mine, Cynthia G. Gammill Sydney's 3 year old BSF Children Leader

Father, I come to You today asking for comfort and strength for Sydney and her family. I ask that You reach down from heaven and hold them tight. I ask specifically that Sydney's heart rate and blood pressure come back to normal, that she becomes more alert and responsive, and that the healing continue in her body. I ask for Your peace that passes all understanding be granted to her family. I ask for wisdom for the doctors so that they can help Sydney get past this. These things I ask--I plead for--in the precious and mighty name of Jesus, AMEN.

We pray that our Father will heal Sydney's body and give peace, rest and ceaseless comfort as you lean into Him in this incredible trial. May God be glorified as He mends each place, physical and non-physical. May Sydney's sleep be a place where she feels completely soothed by His touch. With much love, The Sinaks
