Dear Lynette, I am in tears reading your latest entry ...the comforting image of you and Sydney both at peace is so encouraging. I can't tell you how your faith has ministered to me and my family. I keep thinking of this passage from Gen 50:19-20, "Joseph said to them, 'Don't be afraid. Am I in the place of God? You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.'" Won't it be amazing someday in heaven to see how many lives have been touched and SAVED by your family's witness?! Thank you, and may you continue to feel God's peace. Love, Nell

We will pray for you daily. I did know of this web page. Betsy had told me about Sydney but we had not talked about her treatment. God is an awesome God and is there for us when we need him the most. Sydney is such a beautiful child, love and energy just leap from her eyes. Faith of a child is a wonderful thing. Please let Betsy know when she can help you with the other children. Much love and prayers, Martha and Everett Philen

Lynette, I am in Sunday School at HPUMC with your parents and our good friens, Skip and Geri Shirley are keeping me informed on Sydney. Our grandson, Russell Baker, Austin, has AAL and was diagnosed a year ago this past August. He is in the "maintenance" phase now, we have been extremely lucky and blessed. He is however in the hospital from time to time when levels, counts etc. drop from a virus usually. He has been in the hospital twice in this 3rd phase of maintenance (each one is 12 weeks). Of course there is a concern he "could" fall out of maintenance, but not so far. Because we understand, PLEASE know our hearts, prayers are with you DAILY. We have an understanding of your trials and your long days. These special children are not only precious, but brave beyond any understanding (as are their parents!!!!) Bonny and Jeff (our son) send their love, support, and most of all their prayers. I will continue to keep in touch and informed about your precious Sydney. Nancy Baker

I have been thinking of you, my friend! Our prayers have been almost constant for your little girl. The scripture I have been praying for you is Psalm 9:9-10. "The Lord also will be a stronghold for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble and those who know Your name will put their trust in You; for You, O Lord, have not fosaken those who seek You." What a blessing to hear that He has filled you with his peace. Please know how much you are loved! Yours In Christ, All the Mighells

My Sweet Sydney, Hi, Sweet Girl. Bo's wife, Chantel ("Chel"), told me the funniest story the other day & I want to share it w/ you. She told me it was a true story. A mother took her 4 year old son to the Dallas World Aquarium. They were having a great time, when all of a sudden the mother couldn't find her son! She was SO upset she started yelling for help. After a few minutes they found him outside near the penguin pool & he was dripping wet! They got him dried off & left for home. The mom put him in the bathtub & went to get him a clean towel. All of a sudden the mom hears him giggling & laughing out loud! She hurried back in to the bathroom & there is a PENGUIN in the bathtub w/ the little boy!! He told his mom he had jumped into the penguin pool b/c he wanted to play w/ them. CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT?! Guess how he got the penguin home? He put it into his backpack!! Oh, my goodness gracious. Isn't that a funny story. I hope you enjoyed it, Sydney. I love you bunches, Mrs. Dauster

Hi Sydney, Everything around here is going great. We are having fun doing 'Connections Acadimy'. There are lots of fun things to do. For one we have done many experiments like seeing how long it takes for cellary to turn red. Today we are going to find out how living things respond to the way things change. That is just a small part about it. FROM: Brandon and Jessica
