As always, I'm humbled and amazed at the way your family is so steadfastly remaining, through faith, in the safety of our Father. I begin to feel ill just trying to put myself in your shoes even for a day. I think we can all confidently tell you that your testimony of the truth in God's promise of peace is resounding. My thoughts are drawn to sweet Sydney and your entire family in almost every Psalm I read ... whether it is David pleading for rescue from his enemies (Sydney's rescue from cancer) or David claiming God's sufficiency and glory (your countless praises for answered prayer) -- your prayers and praises are alive in the Psalms.

Our commitment to pray for you has not and will not waver. Sydney's name is on the tip of our tongue as we enter His presence each morning and as we continue through and end the day. Praise Him whose power and love has no boundary. His faithfulness no end.

My oldest daughter Elisabeth who will be E3 at Providence this fall, prays for you regularly as if she knows you. My nephew (her cousin) is also battling Leukemia which puts us even that more aware of how brave and strong you are during this great battle! You and your strength have encouraged many more than you can imagine. Happy Birthday, Sydney!

dear sweet sydney, we are so proud of the way you are fighting through all this, and you are such a hero in our eyes. you have got two of the most incredible parents, who are teaching alot of people about faith, courage and the love of Jesus. i know you are so proud of them too. keep your eyes on Jesus sydney, He loves children like nobody else. i know you must be one of His absolute favorites!! Just checking in to say hi and that I am still praying for each and every one of you. I heard that Sydney may need a lung operation and pray that the surgery is a success. I hope the healing process is not strenuous and that Sydney will have extra strength to get healthy once that fungus is gone. Peace to you. Catherine

"Be strong and very courageous" Joshua 1:7a. I am praying for Thweatt family do not lose hope. For the doctor's wisdom on this surgery and for Sydney to be strong and courageous to face the surgery.

Tell Syndey Happy Birthday!!! My prayer and wish for her is if it is the Lord's will that she will beat this leukemia and live to be 88 years old. To finish school, college, get married, raise a family and see her grandchildren.

Hello from San Antonio. We have had rain for over 50 days - I like to to think of them as cleansing. And they are fun to nap to - only on the weekends of course! Sydney,
Happy (almost) 8th Birthday! 8...wow! My son is 8 and that's a pretty important age according to him. I'm not sure why yet...he hasn't told me the secret! Maybe you'll learn the secret when you turn 8! I'm sure that you're tired of all the doctors and hospital stays and being sick, but keep fighting! You are an amazing little lady and you can beat this thing. A lot of people are praying for you and love you...people who don't know you and who will never get to meet you, but we are united with you by our Lord Jesus. When things get rough, ask Him to hold you and you can curl up in His lap and He will keep you safe. He loves you SO much, Sydney. Never forget that! Tell your Mommy and Daddy that people are praying for them too.

Dear Lynette and James,

We pray for your continued strength and perseverance from the LORD. We also pray for Sydney, that she won't have to have surgery after all. God can clear her lungs and we ask Him to do this. His mercies are new each day.

I pray for you all most during the late nights when I can't sleep - things always seem worse under the cover of darkness. It's so easy for me to be fearful and let my mind run wild in these late nights...to lose my way. But I'm reminded by Psalm 18:32, "It is God who arms me with strength and makes my way perfect." He brings me back to Him and to His mighty power. I pray His words will comfort you in the darkness. We love you.
