I hope that Sydney has started to eat a little something and the hope of the apartment has sparked an interest in her. We are praying that those little bird bites will grow into entire meals and the notion of hours of freedom from the hospital will help her spread her wings. We still pray without ceasing for each day to be better than the last. I hope today was a good day and that tomorrow will bring many reasons to smile. Love,
Dee Ann

We have been praying for Sydney, and for you all for the last few months and are so encouraged by your letters about Sydney--YOU have been a blessing to US, and I know I speak for many, many others when I tell you that. We are so thankful for God's faithfulness to you through each little step, forward and backward, in keeping you close to Him. (I am even encouraged when you express your surprise that you sometimes think of "petty/selfish" things in the midst of it all --me too!)Thank you so much for letting us be a part of this with you.

My name is Elizabeth Perez, I work with John Larussa at Fao Schwarz. We are so happy to read about Sydney's healing. I pray everyday for her as my mom too is trying to heal from cancer. I pray all the time for them both. I look forwar to reading the entries on the site to know she is doing better. She is a bright star in the sky that will continue to shine. Warm wishes.... Elizabeth

PRAISE GOD!...for the physical and spiritual blessings of improved health and healing, for vulnerability, for the hope of a new day, for peace in the smallest of places, for the joy of answered prayer...I hope and pray that you will enjoy the support of friends and community not just in your deepest moments of need, but in the daily journey of the future. I also pray that you would find more moments in each day where things can feel "normal" where you can savor the pleasure of happiness, improving health, and trust in the hope of a future bright with the light of God's love.
What joy we felt to see Johnson back at school! It was the first thing AJ told me when he hopped in the car after school from Christmas break. We knew Sydney must be getting better and stronger!
We do not forget any of you. You each are always in the forefront of our thoughts and prayers.
Truly,
Mary

Just back on email after keeping my 2 year old granddaughter in Colorado Springs, and thankful for a well child. Not able to imagine otherwise, yet aware of the pain of a sick child. Thank God for Sydney's progress and continued prayers for all of you. It's wonderful to read about "leaving" the hospital! Blessings to you all.

Dear Lynette, James, Sydney and The Boys,

As I was going through some drawers, I came across last years' Christmas cards and saw your beautiful family smiling up at me. I have left it on the kitchen counter for all of us to look at as we pray for you. Who would have known last year at this time what would transpire in 2006? The difficult road the Lord has led you down... The inspiration you have been to so many (including me)...

We are so thankful for you, and thankful to God for His amazing grace in continuing to heal Sydney.

"May the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way."
2 Thessalonians 16

Love You!

Melinda

Hello Lynette and James, "us Bakers" are ever present in prayer, thoughts and love for your precious family. As you no doubt know, it has been bitter cold here in Bid D for several days. Today, Tues. Jan. 17, we woke to a surprise (not predicted) sleet/snow combo. WOW, the day is 25 and will not get above 30, nights in 20s. We
so pray 1st for that apartment, for this is amazing and wonderful progress--to come to Dallas, we believe there should be a PARADE in Sydney's honor. Russell is for the 3rd time attempting to stay on l00% level of chemo. They try so hard to follow protocal. This, compared to your situation is so understated, but believe me, what these folks can do with/for these children is truly amazing.
Continue to remember: Mark 9:50 and STAY SALTY!!!!!!

I am only one
But I am one
I cannot do everything
But I can do something
What I can do
I ought to do
And what I ought to do,
By God's grace
I will do.

You are doing exactly this!!! We love and support you--what an example you are setting for so so many. Nancy Baker

What a delight to look up and see this good looking Thweatt boy at my door. I even had to ask "who?" James was headed to his bb game. Hope the team won! Would love to help drive boys if ever needed. Easter gave me a "smiling" report on Sydney. Even tho' it's long days up there, it seems like one miracle after another down here to us. Sydney, we look forward to your smiles! Blessings! B
