After reading your letter of 11/20, you have received the "peace that surpasses all understand". I will continue to pray for a miracle and know that little Sydney is in God's hands.

Dear Thweatt Family,

Our hearts are grieving with you as you face this devastating news about Sydney. Yet, we know that the Lord -- the Ultimate Healer -- has Sydney and you in His loving hands. Psalm 63:8: "My soul clings to Thee; Thy right hand upholds me." We pray for His peace and strength for you all in these coming days.

My children and I prayed for Sydney today. Connor (8) prayed for the health of other and future children. Amy (6) prayed for your house to be fixed so that Sydney could have a healthy place to recover. We all prayed for a complete and restorative miracle, and for God to give wisdom to the doctors. Amazing Thweatts- I am a small group leader at Watermark, I have the 8th grade girls from Providence. Since day one we have had broken hearts for your family and have been praying. We will continue to do so. The girls love Sydney and are amazed at her courage. Your faith astounds us. We will be on our knees.

Our hearts are crying out with you all! Our hearts are so heavy. Yet,I know that the Lord is with you. This heaviness we feel must be the eternal weight of His glory about to be revealed. Isaiah 25:8 promises that "The Lord God will wipe away tears from all faces." How I praise Him for His message this morning in my devotion; Our tears and yours are precious to Him! "God, as our heavenly Father, so closely identifies with His children that our tears are His. How He loves those who love Him enough to shed His tears as they share His cross!"

Dear Family,

We are devestated by your news as well and you are doing exactly what we would do in that situation. Not giving up for some small miracle at this point is all anyone can do. Our tears are flowing with yours, but know that everything has been done to help Sydney and this is truly in God's hands. We must trust that he knows what is best for her, not us. We pray the donor gets there in time, we pray for her lungs to continue to heal and that she will get through this. Her courage and strength has told us of her capabilities. We surround her with our love and prayers each moment from this point. We remain faithfully yours in these critical hours. Love, Patty

Lord, I just lift up Lynette, James, Sydney and the rest of this precious family. I ask that you would grant the Thweatts (and the rest of us) Your perspective of this situation right now and bless them with an overabundance of power to focus and rest in that understanding. Our hearts hurt for them, and I am blessed by Lynette's amazing example of obedience to Your instruction in the midst of it all. I thank you for the faith of this sweet family and Your faithfulness to them. May the Thweatts sense Your (and our) love as we continue to walk along side them. Amen.
