Dear Lynette, James, Sydney and The Boys,
As I was going through some drawers, I came across last years' Christmas cards and saw your beautiful family smiling up at me. I have left it on the kitchen counter for all of us to look at as we pray for you. Who would have known last year at this time what would transpire in 2006? The difficult road the Lord has led you down... The inspiration you have been to so many (including me)...
We are so thankful for you, and thankful to God for His amazing grace in continuing to heal Sydney.
"May the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way." 2 Thessalonians 16
Love You!
Melinda

Hello Lynette and James, "us Bakers" are ever present in prayer, thoughts and love for your precious family. As you no doubt know, it has been bitter cold here in Bid D for several days. Today, Tues. Jan. 17, we woke to a surprise (not predicted) sleet/snow combo. WOW, the day is 25 and will not get above 30, nights in 20s. We so pray 1st for that apartment, for this is amazing and wonderful progress--to come to Dallas, we believe there should be a PARADE in Sydney's honor. Russell is for the 3rd time attempting to stay on l00% level of chemo. They try so hard to follow protocal. This, compared to your situation is so understated, but believe me, what these folks can do with/for these children is truly amazing. Continue to remember: Mark 9:50 and STAY SALTY!!!!!!
I am only one But I am one I cannot do everything But I can do something What I can do I ought to do And what I ought to do, By God's grace I will do.
You are doing exactly this!!! We love and support you--what an example you are setting for so so many. Nancy Baker

What a delight to look up and see this good looking Thweatt boy at my door. I even had to ask "who?" James was headed to his bb game. Hope the team won! Would love to help drive boys if ever needed. Easter gave me a "smiling" report on Sydney. Even tho' it's long days up there, it seems like one miracle after another down here to us. Sydney, we look forward to your smiles! Blessings! B

Dear Sydney, How are you doing? I have a couple jokes for you. First one: What kind of monkey can fly? Answer: A hot air baboon!
What kind of ape lives in a gym? A gympanzee.
Where do purple monkeys rule the world? On the planet of the grapes.
What is the first thing a gorilla learns at school? His APE-B-C's.
What happened to the wild pig that broke out of the zoo? They put it in hamcuffs.
Who is a pigs favorite relative? Its oink-ul.
What lizard wears a hairpiece? A wiguana.
What kind of bikes do polar bears ride? Ice-cycles.
Why are spiders good baseball players? They catch lots of flies.
I hope you get better.
Love, William.

I thank God today for the miracles He continues to perform on your precious little Sydney. I also thank God for you and James. The faith you all model has changed lives and won hearts for Jesus. It is exciting to imagine the conversations that the hospital staff has outside of your room...how miraculous Sydney is...how your faith is so stong...how can all this be possible! Thank you for allowing us to be a part of this amazing story that God is writing. Continuing to pray. Michelle Johnson
