Thank you, Father, for the life of Sydney.
"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus, Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort; who comforts us in all our affliction so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction with which we ourselves are comforted by God...indeed, we had the sentence of death within ourselves in order that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God..who will deliver us, on whom we have set our hope. And He will yet deliver us,..."
selected verses from 2 Cor. 1

We stand amazed at the life and purpose called out for Sydney and for your family. We pray His mighty hand to continue to heal her and for His faithfulness to be revealed to you and all that are walking the journey with you. I pray that His strength would continue to draw you near to Him, and that others might be encouraged by your response to suffering.

"but thanks be to God, who always leads us in His triumph in Christ, and manifests through us the sweet aroma of the knowledge of Him in every place. For (your family) is a fragrance of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing;" 2 Cor. 2:14-15

"For all things are for your sakes, that the grace which is spreading to more and more people may cause the giving of thanks to abound to the glory of God."
2 Cor. 4:15

I truly appreciate your allowing us to feel your experiences. We continue to pray for your requests by name.

In His Love,
Becky

Happy New Year, Sydney. I donated blood for you at Sloan Kettering on December 26th. I learned about your need for blood through TNT (Team in Training, an organization that raises money for research in blood diseases). I live in Manhattan with my wife, Alison, and our son, Ian, who is 19 months old. We all hope that you feel better quickly so that you can celebrate soon the Christmas that you postponed.

Happy New Year to Each of You from the Baker family in Dallas and Russell and his family in Austin. Russell did not travel as we are all hoping his counts (that are up--will stay up). It appears now he may not be able to get to 100% chemo and stay (as he continues 3 times now to "fall off the wagon") My what a miracle we see in these children. He is at 75% and that would probably be ok for quiet a while. We are ALL rejoicing for you all and especially little Syd with her counts etc. better each day. God Is Good.

A New Year Hope for Each person in your family from ours:

EVEN THO WE "KNOW" YOU HAVE ENOUGH WITH OUR LORD BY YOUR SIDE---

We wish you "enough" sun to keep your attitude bright no matter how gray the day may appear.

Wish you enough rain to appreciate the sun even more.

Wish you enough happiness to keep your spirit alive and everlasting.

wish you enough gain to satisfy your wanting.

Wish you enough hellos to get you through the goodbys (particularly as family members and friends come and go)

It takes a minute to find a special person, an hour to appreciate them, a day to love them, but then an entire life to forget them.

We pray for "enough" encouragement to keep you going and to continue to realize His presence with you every second of this journey. Love and Prayers of Blessings from Nancy, Richard, our son and family, Jeff, Bonny and Russell.

Dear Lynette and James and family,

I was reading my Advent and Christmas book today for Jan. 1 and thought I needed to share this part with you:

... Wherever love proceeds from us and becomes truth, the time is fulfilled. Then the divine life floods through our human relationships and all our works. Then everything that is lonely and scattered and seeking for the way of God shall be bound together by divine power. Then, of human effort and of the divine miracle, shall the world be born in which Christmas is fulfilled as reality.

I thought of Sydney and our Christmas miracle we are proclaiming.

We love you,

Susan, Kyle, Zach, Michelle and Scott

We are so thankful for good news, but will keep praying for Sydney for healing strength and just plain old feeling better so that her natural enthusiam will return. We pray your family will be able to celebrate this New Year's eve and day with the sure knowledge of God's purposes and providence in your lives. Wishing you a Happy New Year.

James and ALL!

We are so greatful for the continuing good news. What a beautiful gift to have the good results you're seeing each day. At the same time we are sad that Sydney is hurting and is sleeping so much (Sharon and I sleep way too much these days too, but we're just older and tired! ... in fact she's home sleeping while I'm writing this to you).

We are thanking God for his grace and goodness and continuing to pyar for you all!

Sydney, Sharon and I are praying for the most prosperous, pleasant and joyful New Year for you and your wonderful family.

Phillippians 4:6 fills us with encouragement and He is faithful indeed! And Isaiah, in Chapter 26:2-4 encourages God's people by saying to them:

2 Open the gates that the righteous nation may enter, the nation that keeps faith.

3 You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you.

4 Trust in the LORD forever, for the LORD, the LORD, is the Rock eternal.

We pray the love of Christ fills your lives always.

Happy New Year to all!

Blair Smith and Sharon Fulgham
