I've been keeping up with you, Sydney, through Holly. You are an amazing little lady! Keep fighting! To your parents, all I can say is "Wow." You are incredible. Everytime I read your updates, I am encouraged and amazed by your faithfulness to God. God will reward you...He has some wonderful things in store for Sydney! God Bless you all~you are in my prayers.

Again I have been meaning to write...sorry I have not taken the time. I was reading today in Samuel about the Israelites battles with the Philistines. How they had been defeated and the Ark was taken away. When Samuel prayed for rescue...the all-powerful Warrior God of Israel responded with deafening thunder and Israel defeated the Philistines. Samuel set up a monument, an Ebenezer, a "stone of help," to remind the people of God's help on that day. "He named the stone Ebenezer, saying, "The Lord has helped us to this point." I Samuel 7:12 What fitting words. The Lord has truly helped us to this point with Sydney. I will pray like Samuel for God's rescue and complete triumph over Sydney's battle.

Just another hello to let you know I continue to pray for your whole family. Holly keeps us up-to-date on how Sydney is doing, and we are eagerly awaiting a day when you can all leave the hospital together, and live lives relatively free from all the stress and illness. You continue to amaze me with your love and faithfulness to God. {HUGS}

I am so caught up in Sydney's progress my heart is breaking for you. I am praying as the Lord brings her to my mind a number of times each day. I heard from Teddie, via Frances Jean Sunderland (SA). May God's greatest and most gentle mercy be upon you all and total healing for precious Sydney. Lynette and James - thank you for staying strong when you must want to just flee emotionally and spiritually. You have touched MANY, I know. Lois Ann

Hi Lynette, I'm just sitting here thinking about you and Sydney and your journey. I'm praying for healing every time I'm before His throne and longing for you to be home here in Dallas. So many of us, including you, just sense the Lord is going to restore Sydney, and we all patiently (sometimes not so much!) await His timetable. I just want to encourage you to savor every moment of intimacy with your Savior. I know He is speaking and ministering to your heart in ways none of us can fathom. Cherish those moments where He is carrying you and Sydney through the storms until you are safely to the other side. I love you! Wendy

Dear Sydney, I hope you remember me. I am the "other" Enrichment III teacher. I was next door to you when you were in Mrs. Dauster's class and I got to see you in carpool and when your class would walk up and down the hall. I am praying for you!!! I look forward to showing you some things we have added in our Nature Studies Hall. We have a HUGE aquarium with lots and lots of beautiful fish. When we first got it, all of the fish were very little, but now they have grown bigger and they have even had some very tiny babies. The oldest baby is named Nemo. He is pretty big now! We also have two gardens that are out in the courtyard by the fountain. We have a butterfly garden with a plant called milkweed. It is the only kind of plant that Monarch butterflies will lay their eggs on. It is fun to watch the butterflies come to drink nectar from the flowers. We also have a desert garden. Do you remember studying about the desert in Mrs. Dauster's class? In the desert garden, there are several plants, including cactus, that do not need much water to stay alive. The cactus gets beautiful yellow flowers after a rain.
Keep painting! Maybe you could have an art show some day with all of your paintings that you have painted.
You are a very much loved little girl. Many, many people are praying for you!
Love,
Mrs. (Cindy) McWhorter
PS Through some of my students, I just discovered some amazing movies that were aired on the Discovery Channel called "Planet Earth". One of my students gave me the set of DVD's. They are absolutely incredible. The photography is beyond belief and I hear everyone from preschoolers to college students to "old" people talk about how much they enjoy them. I like them because you can watch them for 15 minutes or 2 hours, as long as you want or have time for. They might be something that you all would enjoy. If you do not have access to them, let me know and I will send you my set.

With many germ-free prayers & hugs, Susan (Houston, Texas)
To Lynette & James, My sincerest prayers to the both of you. As a mom of two little ones, I cannot even imagine (nor do I want to) what you are going through. I am absolutely amazed at your faith and total reliance on God. I will continue to pray for you and am looking forward to the time ahead when Sydney has recovered from the side effects in conquering her battle against cancer.
With Christ's love & support, Susan (Houston, Texas)

Lynette and James, I have read the last posting about only one more drug option. In my experience God does his best work when we think all is lost and there is no other option. So expect a miracle. Praying for you.
