Dear Sydney, When I was your age, my best friend got the same thing you have. Even though I am now in college, I still remember how much fun we had playing around at the hospital, making turkeys out of the nurse's gloves. Her favorite hymn was "Be Not Dissmayed Whate'er Betide" and we would always sing it. I remember how much it cheered both of us up so I thought I'd share it with you (though I bet you already learned it at Providence):
Be not dismayed whate'er betide, God will take care of you! Beneath His wings of love abide, God will take care of you!
God will take care of you, Through every day o'er all the way; He will take care of you; God will take care of you!
Through days of toil when heart doth fail, God will take care of you! When dangers fierce your path assail, God will take care of you!
All you may need He will provide, God will take care of you! Trust Him, and you will be satisfied, God will take care of you!
Lonely and sad, from friends apart, God will take care of you! He will give peace to your aching heart, God will take care of you!
No matter what may be the test, God will take care of you! Lean, weary one, upon His breast, God will take care of you!
I just want to let you know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. I hope you're having a wonderful day with the beautiful snow I heard you are having in Dallas, precious girl. With much love, Jane Murchison (Daniel's big sister)
