My prayers are with you. God is definately working through Sydney and her family. She is so strong and I believe that angels (seen and unseen) are surrounding her helping her deal with the physical pain.
May God's love be with you always.

We are praying for you and watching in awe, as you endure weaknes and pain in your life, yet you remain in His faithfullness.

Heb 4:15 For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin.
Heb 4:16 Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

Precious Thweatts, You'll never guess what we unearthed this week! Your beautiful Christmas card from last year! There was little Sydney, with her princess crown on her head, surrounded by her loving brothers. It was another call from the Lord to be in faithful, fervent prayer for you all. What a privilege you have given us. We thank you so much for the opportunity to pray continuously for you all. We will NOT LET UP!!! Special hugs to Johnson.. Becca says that Class Four misses you and things are not the same without you! Everyone is so glad that you are able to serve your sweet sister right now. May the God of all comfort uphold you all with His STRONG right hand. We love you!

Dear Thweatt Family,
An email is being passed around from a friend of yours in NYC. Many of us are going to Sloan-Kettering to donate blood and platelets. There are many thoughts and prayers for Sydney's Dec 13th transplant.

II Cor. 12:9-10 "My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness. Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me.Gǥ

You remain in our prayers. We rejoice at every victory, however small it seems, and we weep with you over Sydney's pain. You are loved, and I have asked everyone I know to pray for you and Syd. Please let Brian and I know how we can help in a physical way, and tell Johnson I'd like to take him out for our birthday on Mon. if he's interested. If not I totally understand. Also, my mom will be here on the 19th, and she is at your disposal as well.

Dear Lynette and James,

Our family has been praying for Sydney. You are in our hearts and prayers. I'm writing because of a class I just attended called "How thoughts effect our bodies". You probably have already heard of Norman Cousins who wrote Anatomy of an Illness. But I wanted to encourage you with a reminder. He was diagnosed with an incurable disease in the 1960's. There was no medical hope. He started his own research and found a link between the immune system and laughter. He applied what he learned and lived a long healthy life. There are many studies that show lauthter/joy builds the immune system. Another boost in hope. You have done such an amazing job encouraging your sweet daughter. Please be encouraged to keep it up. As difficult as it is, know that her laughter, any joy she has, as well as her hope will only strengthen her immune system. "A merry heart doeth good like medicine."

The prayers of the saints are continually lifting Sydney, as well as your entire family before the Throne of Grace.

We are getting so excited for the 13th of December to get here! (I pray also for the transplant donor - what a gift that not only they offer you, but that you allow this fine person to elevate themselves. Letting others help is such a blessing to the giver, as much as the receiver.) At church tonight one of the scriptures that was read was from Luke 1:37 "For nothing is impossible with God." In this passage, the angel of God comforted Mary as she was afraid and was trying to trust God about her pregnancy with Jesus. I couldn't help but feel comforted that at this same special Christmas season your family is confronted with trusting God with the unknown. Through all adversity, He is always faithful. All things are possible. I hope all the angels of heaven will daily place this reassurance in your hearts and minds.
Hopefully and joyfully,
Mary

If you can think of ANYTHING little or large that we could do or send to any one of you, we would love to!! The crazier the better...puzzles, games, a favorite blanket or toy, food, any distraction that could pass the time or make Miss Sydney or your family forget your pains for a moment...just name it!!

Dear Thweatts,
I seem to wake in the night and immediately think of and pray for you. Ps. 121 says that the Lord never slumbers or sleeps. I used that verse with my kids when they had hard nights. I am praying for relief and healing for Sydney. Her spirit is so precious.
Love, Jill Chesnut
