Our prayers are with you!

I am praying that the Lord will send his angels to carry Sidney through this. Psalm 91:11 says "For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone." I claim that verse for Sydney and your family. Know that there are many many people praying for you all and God is going to work a miracle in your lives.

At this moment, Daron, the kids, and I are all filled with sorrow. Your family has been in our thoughts and prayers daily. This news is devasting, I don't really want to believe it. Dear James and Lynette,

We have, and will continue to pray for healing. I am sure all are asking God for what words they could say or what things they could do to comfort you and your family during this time. It is apparent that you are relying on the real comforter, and the only one who has ever had the ability to do anything. God knows all about this situation. I am encouraged James by your words of transparency, and abiding faith. It is a choice to trust and obey. I know of no harder trial, and am proud to know you and your family. May the watching world continue to marvel at the peace that surpasses all understanding, that you and Lynette are beautifully portraying to a confused and lost world. Thank you for letting me better see my savior through such obedient, yet fragile eyes. I am proud to know you and Lynette.

Prior to reading the news this morning Douglas and I felt called to pray fervently for Sydney- The Lord laid on our hearts again that nothing is impossible for Him. We reflected on the story of two farmers that needed rain- One prepared for the rain he needed God to send and the other did nothing- You are preparing for the rain by doing everything you possibly can for her!!! We are lifting her up!!!!! May God be glorified!!!! The Maclays

Dear Thweatt family, my name is Lauren and I work with Cathy Evans at Park Cities Presbyterian Church. I have been praying for you all for months as Cathy gave me updates, but just today read your log on the website. My family has walked through the valley of watching a beloved child die, so I am praying for you today with tears of understanding. I hope this is not the time for you all to say "goodbye for now" to your sweet Sydney, but I know that God will continue to carry you all in His arms whatever the outcome. He loves all of you so very much and He is faithful, especially in the midst of our deepest pain.

We are in constant prayer for the great Healer to touch this sweet warrior's life ... that just as He healed Jairus' daughter, he will from a distance, yet so close speak the words of life. Remember the power of even his cloak as the leper woman secretly touched him and was healed.

Yet in the midst, you still feel joy and trust. You are amazing! May your faith remain strong, through his strength ... as Abraham rested in unwavering faith of his Lord while he walked up a mountain to end the life of the one promised as the beginning of a nation. God's strength is never-ending. He is the author of hope.

Rest assured we will spend the day reaching for this hope and resting in his strength.
