Jesus, our Great Physician! Thank you that by Your Holy Spirit You encourage us to pray for Sydney. Lord, this is a long day for her and the delicate proceedures to help her heal are finally underway. But You never tire. Your greatness shined in the night sky, when You came to Earth to Be Born in a manger, bringing Light to a dark world. Please bless the physicians, nurses and technicians as they attend to Syndey's special needs. Only You can give them wisdom and clear focus to treat her. You are in every detail, Lord. It comforts us to remember just how precise You are. You point out in scripture that no one could possibly number the stars, yet you created each one. You number our hairs (as well as monitor them falling out). Your Word is sharper than a two-edged sword, and you remind us that nothing is impossible for You! Thank you for loving Sydney so much, Jesus, to give her around the clock care. Amen.

O little town of Bethlehem,
How still we see thee lie,
Above thy deep and dreamless sleep,
The silent stars go by,
Yet in thy dark streets shineth
The Everlasting Light,
The hopes and fears of all the years,
Are met in thee tonight.

For Christ is born of Mary,
And gathered all above,
While mortals sleep, the angels keep
Their watch of wond'ring love.
O morning stars together
Proclaim the holy birth,
And praises sing to God the King,
And Peace to men on earth.

Love,
The Woodruffs

James and Lynette,
The "S" on my palm is now fading from the day's handwashing, but my thoughts and prayers have been with you and your precious one especially today.

May you ride this wave of intercession for you in perfect peace and assurance that He has Sydney's best already in place.I was wishing we could bless you as the body of Christ with photos of all the "S's" written on the palms of the people.Love to you all, Chris

What a big day you have all had. I am sure you must all be exhausted. Tonight I ask that God give you a moment of sleep, the kind I have often prayed for in my life...that no matter how short the rest, that it feel much longer than it really happens to be. I ask His tender care over Sweet Sydney, and for you, His reassurance that He will watch over her so that you may rest. Sydney will need you when the new bone marrow rekindles her physical body. I imagine it will be like every wise parent or grandparent tells you when your child is just a babe, "Rest when they rest." It is the only way to keep up!
James, my heart reaches out to both you and Lynette. I have read your latest entry...you should be kind to yourself. There isn't a reason in the world that you should feel badly about your frustrations with the way the details have unfolded. You and Lynette are beautiful children of God. He knows you are His, and it is okay to question the things of this earth with all of your humanity. God's clearest promises are for our life in eternity. In my life, my Dad has comforted me greatly with his words of wisdom. I would pour out my heart of my deepest agony, and he would ask...Are you tired? Have you eaten lately? Have you asked God to help you? Are you letting Him? These needs are so basic, and so neglected by Moms and Dads when their children are in need. Care for yourself, and all of the other things start to look better, more do-able.
I hope and pray that you and Lynette will rest tonight, and let others care for YOU. The rest of us will cheerfully pray the night...
Waiting Faithfully for More Miracles, big and small,
Mary

Dear Lynette, It has been so uplifting to read your guestbook. What privilege to be among such saints before the throne of God on your behalf. It seems that everywhere I've been today, people are praying for Sydney. Heaven must be filled with the voices of believers calling out to God, asking Him to touch Sydney with His healing hand. I'm believing God for a mighty work and anxiously await your next message. Rebecca

Lynette and James:
I am copying an email received from a young lady that works at FAO Schwartz and who is very special:
Dear KJ,

This is just a short note to say that I hope everything went well for Sydney. I spoke with John briefly about the delivery of her doll and he said everything went well. I just want you to know I was so touched by her story of how brave she has been through all this. I myself and my mom who is also suffering with breast cancer like I had told you ,have been praying for Sydney and for hope in that she makes it through this tough time. She is in our daily thoughts and prayers. If there is anything else I can assist you with please call me. I will be checking Sydney's website for updates on her condition and I know with all our prayers and all our good thoughts she will be ok. Warm Regards, Elizabeth Perez
Just want you to know - more people are touched daily ....
Kj

We have been thinking and praying for Sydney all day today. As I was searching through the guestbook I was amazed at the notes from all of these awesome God Lovers! I cannot imagine what you are going through, but find great comfort in knowing that God is loving you through all imperfect folks here on earth, what an awesome God. Be strong . . . and were you cannot, trust in God. We love you all!
