I've been praying for Syd for a long time now and my prayers will be more fervent than ever. I hope you all can maintain some peace and comfort during this time. Keep the faith which I know is difficult that she WILL be healed.

Dear James and Lynette,

We pray for Sydney daily and check the website daily. Thank you for the latest update. I am always struck by Sydney's amazing fortitude! She is an inspiration to so many! We continue to pray for improvement and total healing for Sydney. We pray for stength and comfort for the two of you and the boys.

1)Day by day and with each passing moment,
Strength I find to meet my trials here;
Trusting in my Father's wise bestowment,
I've no cause for worry or for fear.
He whose heart is kind beyond all measure,
Give unto each day what He deems best;
Lovingly, its part of pain and pleasure,
Mingling toil with peace and rest.

2)Ev'ry day the Lord Himself is near me
With a special mercy for each hour;
All my cares He fain would bear and cheer me,
He whose name is Counselor and Pow'r.
The protection of His child and treasure,
Is a charge that on Himself He laid;
"As your days, your strength shall be in measure,"
This the pledge to me He made.

3)Help me then in ev'ry tribulation,
So to trust Your promises, O Lord;
That I lose not faith's sweet consolation,
Offered me within Your holy Word.
Help me, Lord, when toil and trouble meeting,
E'er to take, as from a Father's hand,
One by one, the days, the moments fleeting,
Till I reach the promised land.

As I was reading IKings, I was struck by a verse in Chapter 4. V. 29 says "God gave Solomon wisdom and very great insight, and a breadth of understanding as measureless as the sand on the seashore."

Well, my 1st thought was "please, Lord, do the same for my children"... then I was struck by the way the Lord substantiated his promise to Solomon in Ch. 4. It is a story we all know and have heard a thousand times. Yet for some reason, the abundant provision of his answer moved me. I was taken, as I often am these days, to you. To God's promise of restoration for Sydney. Solomon's exchange with God when he asked for wisdom occured, according to what Solomon thought, in a dream. Yet we know from what trasnpired that it was very real.

The Lord of the universe follows through with his promises -- always and, more often than not, in a way the has limitless boundaries. My prayer today is that He will restore your precious daughter in the same way that he betowed insight and wisdom upon Solomon.

I awoke with Sydney and you all especially heavy on my heart and mind this morning and have been on my knees in prayer. Sending you love, hugs, and encouragement electronically this morning and hope you continue to feel the enormous love and power of our Father and the immense support and care of your family and friends all around.
