John 14:27
"Do not let your heart be troubled and do not be afraid"
In my devotion this morning I read that scripture. I know it is easy to read and say ,but hard to follow and trust. My prayer is that today, tomorrow and thereafter, God will give you (and all of us) the strength to claim that PROMISE and trust that his work and purpose is being done through this trail.
Leave it up to Lynette to make the hospital room an adventure that takes Sydney's mind off the hollowness of a hospital room! Keep it up Lynette!
Cara, Caroline, Chase and I pray for you all the time and trust God is hearing our prayers and will give you strength to endure.
We pray for a bone marrow match and wisdom in all the decisions that have to be made.
Love,
The Giles

James and Lynette What an awesome webpage. I fell in love with Sydney just from reading through the lines...and getting a picture of what an amazing, precious, strong, little girl she is. Please tell her that I will be meeting with over 50 girls today, 7th through 12th grade, who are preparing to go to cheerleading camp at SMU next week. I will be telling them about Sydney and I can guarantee they will be praying for her and loving her through this yukky time of her life. The good thing is...we have 2 kids at our school who have been through this same ordeal. We have seen know how hard it is...and yet we also know you can get through it and go on with your life! One of the students, Tim Flores (an all-state football player and precious Christian kiddo), just graduated and has been well for over 6 years. The other one, Connor, (kindergarten) is doing great and seems to be almost well. I might try to send you more info on these guys later. Let Sydney know that this group of girls will be praying for her and will visit her once she is stronger. James and Lynette...know you are in my prayers and that I really do "consider it pure joy" to walk with you through this trial. I pray that through this...you will be given more than you ever imagined and that God will hold you and bless you every step of the way. Love, pam

Dear Sydney,
I am so sad I missed your phone call. I will be back in town on Sunday. You can call on Mom's cell phone. I would love to hear from you. I am very pleased to hear you are responding well to the medicine!! I love to hear the fun things you are doing while in the hospital. I know you are making all of those around you smile and laugh, just like you do to me when we are together. Know I am praying for you daily and so are my parents, grandparents, cousins, aunts and uncles!! My grandfather's church in Delhi, Louisiana prayed for you Wednesday night. I love you!!

Sydney GÇô
I am so glad you and your Mother had a little Sunday school lesson together on Sunday morning. You are a little disciple of the Lord Jesus. A disciple is one who tells others about the Lord Jesus. I volunteered in your Sunday School class this past Sunday at Watermark. I was so sad you were not there!!! Miss. Elizabeth shared from Mark 2:1-12 the true Bible story about a man who could not walk but had many friends carry him to the Lord Jesus. His friends wanted him to walk again. So they carried his bed to the house where the Lord Jesus was teaching. The house was jammed pack with people so his friends took him to the top of the house and cut a hole in the roof. They lowered his bed down until his bed rested at the feet of the Lord Jesus. The Lord Jesus told him to GÇ£get up and walkGÇ¥ ---- and he did.
Sydney, you have many friends who love you and who are bringing you before the Lord Jesus every minute of the day. We are all praying for your healing!!! It is a privilege to pray for you without ceasing. We are praying that one day you will be able to walk out of the hospital completely healed, just like the man in our Bible Story.
James and Lynette - Thank you for the beautiful written inspirational stories with scriptures you have posted to the website. I am sad that the boys were not a match, but thankful they are not pre-disposed to this disease. I wanted you know that I am already on the National Bone Marrow Donor list as well as my co-worker Siobhan who has written a note already in the guestbook and another friend, Jere, who is a deacon at his church and is praying for Sydney. We are all praying for a donor for Sydney and I am hoping it will be one of us.
With Christ's love and mine, Miss. Cynthia G. Gammill (Sydney's 3 yr old BSF Children Leader)
