Sydney, James and Lynette-
The Lord placed each of you upon my heart over the last few days! I woke up Sunday morning prompted by the Lord to pray earnestly. I have had no idea how things were going, but the Lord has known all along. So, tonight as I read the Watermark prayer requests, there you are. The Lord will give you strength as He has so strongly provided all along. I am trusting in His provision - knowing that His plans are for a hope and a future! Casey has continued to pray every night for Sydney. You are certainly not forgotten even though the journey has been long. We love you!

Lord Jesus Christ, Good Shepherd of the sheep, you gather the lambs in your arms and carry them in your bosom: We commend to your loving care Sydney. Relieve her pain, guard her from all danger, restore to her your gifts of gladness and strength and raise her up to a life of service to you. Hear us, we pray for your Name's sake. Amen

I found this prayer and it says what I feel:
I prayed for you today
even though I wasn't sure
exactly what to say.
I talked to God and spoke your name---
I prayed for you today.

I asked the Lord to give you strength
to calm you from your stress,
to free you from the things you fear,
and bathe your mind with rest.

I asked the Lord to help you
in the uphill days to come;
I asked our precious loving God
to complete what He's begun.

He whispered in the quiet
and filled my heart with peace.
He said that you are deeply loved,
that His grace will never cease.
(Rev. Greg Asimakoupoulos)

We are praying for you. Macrae has had a high fever off and on since Saturday and it has given us just a tiny, tiny lesson of sympathy for Sydney and how very brave she has been for so very long. When Macrae is moaning, I can ask him to be brave like Sydney and he tries. Macrae and I have had talks about heaven and how we look forward to there being no more illness. It is good to long for heaven. We've talked about how hard it is for parents when their children hurt and how hard it must be for you, Lynette and James, to watch your little girl. And even how hard it must be for God to watch his little children be ill -- illness allowed into the world because of the original effects of sin. How we will all one day be at peace. We've also had less-serious talks and here is Macrae's latest for Sydney: "I'm glad I'm not a beaver cuz it rhymes with fever." I've spent some time in Exodus lately and I wanted to share this verse - which appropriately goes with Wendy's comments today: Exodus 14:13 -- (Moses speaking) "Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today....The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still." Lifting you up. Debby

Always praying for you...

"Lord, do not trouble Yourself further, for I am not worthy for You to come under my roof; for this reason I did not even consider myself worthy to come to You, but just say the word, and [she] will be healed..."
(from Luke 7:6-7)

Faith focuses on God as its proper object.
Faith anticipates and asks for GREAT things from a GREAT God.
Faith is always found in the vicinity of grace and mercy.
Faith grows. (Bible.org)

I pray for your family often. A little song comes to my mind and I sing to myself often, and outloud. It's by Michael W. Smith. The words are something like this.."Fix your eyes upon Jesus..look full in His wonderful face and the cares of this world will grow strangely dim..in the light of His glory and grace." Keep your eyes on Jesus and He will continue to hold you, carry you, shelter you, and give you peace. I'm praying for complete healing!

Most Gracious Father,
We cry out to you for Sydney, Lynette, James, Jack, James, Johnson, Becky, Grandmommy Sydney, Marcee, the Youngs and the rest of the family. We don't understand the reasons why this little life must endure such trauma. We ache for the pain and anguish we've heard and read about. Father, wrap this family and, especially Sydney, in Your arms of love and protection. Your know our hearts. You know our struggles. Enable us by Your amazing grace to come into Your presence and rest in You. You, alone, know better than anyone, what it is to see Your child suffer. This is sooo hard, and the days are so uncertain. Our hope is in You alone. May we give You all the honor and glory. In Jesus' name, Amen
Praying for you fervently. Love, Ann
