Hi Lynette, I want you to read this again from Streams in the Desert even if you read it 2 days ago. It really hit home with me and where we are in our prayer battle. Lots of love and prayers to you! Wendy
This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. 1 John 5:4 Trusting even when it appears you have been forsaken; praying when it seems your words are simply entering a vast expanse where no one hears and no voice answers; believing that God's love is complete and that He is aware of your circumstances, even when your world seems to grind on as if setting its own direction and not caring for life or moving one inch in response to your petitions; desiring only what God's hands have planned for you; waiting patiently while seemingly starving to death, with your only fear being that your faith might fail--"this is the victory that has overcome the world"; this is genuine faith indeed. Hi Syd, Lynette, James and Boys. I just wanted to tell you that not very many moments go by in a day that I don't stop and think about what you are doing or how you are feeling. I am encouraged to pray many times each day as I field question from the people I see who ask how you are doing Sydney. You are on the minds and hearts of hundreds (maybe over a thousand) people who I think do as I do and stop in the middle of what they are doing and think of you and pray. It is amazing how you are impacting the lives of so many but, you won't really understand that until you get home and start meeting all of them. I love you very much and want you to pass along a hug to your mom and dad and the bros..

Hi Lynette, I met with Deborah Waters from Providence to pray this morning for Sydney and am believing that such an incredible time of intense prayer resulted in a powerful moving of the Spirit in your lives today! I told Becky that I just wept for you praying that you would feel "home" in your heart because you had been away for so long. Somehow I know the Holy Spirit ministers to you and Sydney in ways we can't even fathom. As Nan Kirchhofer said yesterday, "We just need to take authority over this!" I agree and we did and are believing a powerful turnaround is coming. Love you dearly, Wendy

Lynette, James, Sydney and "the brothers", All of you continue to be in my prayers. I find myself thinking of Sydney and you, Lynette so very often and still, at the oddest times, recognizing this is the Holy Spirit waking me up to pray or stopping some mundane task to go before the Lord, I pray for all of you. I, like everyone else, so wish we could help you, so we pray and pray. From day one, I've had this bird's eye image of the entire Thweatt family in the center spot, next are the physicians, the medical professionals, and then, all of us holding hands, encircling you, praying for you. The Lord's heavenly wings, so beautiful, protective, and radiant, encompass this powerful and growing circle, binding us together through prayer and praise. May God bless you, Angela

Dear Lynette, I think of you so much and pray for you during the midnight hours. I just know the Lord is heaping grace upon grace on you; otherwise, how could anyone survive what you all are going through. Despite how you probably feel, I want you to know you are an inspiration and a genuine example of how God sustains His children through the fire. I love Job 23:10 "He knows the way I take. When He has tried me, I shall come forth as gold." You are already shining, my sweet friend!
The Lord keeps putting Colossians 1:17 on my heart when I pray for Sydney: "He is above all things, and IN HIM, all things hold together." That includes Sydneys body, every organ, every system, every functioning part--He is the one who will hold it together. He will bring order out of chaos. I just know He will.
I love you dearly! Wendy

I am praying for you all. You are brave warriors. God certainly knows your faithful devotion to Him and your family. A very prayerful time for me personally is spent playing hymns on the piano everyday. I think of Sydney often during this time and play "Jesus Loves Me" and "Jesus Loves the Little Children" and I dedicate the time I play to her and ask God to touch her, if even only for a moment, with relief, knowledge of His presence, and love abounding. Other times I think of you, Lynette and James, and pray your burden would be continually lifted up to God and that you would know that your sweet Sydney and "Brothers" extraordinaire will be safe in His care. Know that you are all remembered, always. Love, Mary
