Letter from James 03/07/2007

Dear Faithful Friends,
Johnson and I went to New York last weekend. On the way up there he, "asked me, if it was possible for mom and Sydney to come home with us? I told him it was possible, but very unlikely."
Sydney has improved since my last visit. She is playful and eating. She has gained a little weight, and is looking healthier. The head doctor told me Sydney's test results are all in the range of normal. Some of her counts are a little lower than he would like, but still in the range of normal. He thinks she is a little slow coming back, probably due do to the seriousness of her disease and the life threatening state she was in. Not to mention all the chemo and other drugs that has run through her little body. She is in the range of normal, just a little low. The doctor says he stays a little anxious about Sydney, but he sees nothing clinically that concerns him.
Johnson (10) and I were loading the car to leave New York. I hugged Lynette and said goodbye. As we turned we saw Sydney plant her face in Johnson's big old chest as they hugged motionless for a minute. I thought I was going to break down right there on York St., but we held it together and jumped into to the car to head for the airport. Johnson was looking out the window, so I wouldn't see the tears running down his face. In a strained voice he asked, "If it was possible for Mom and Sydney to come home with us at the end of spring break?" I told him it was possible, but very unlikely.
Sydney will have a bone marrow biopsy Friday march 9th. Please pray everything is perfect. The boys and I are going back up March 9th for spring break.
Thanks to all the people who are keeping us propped up and for all your prayers and concern.
Thank you Lord for the miracle you are allowing us to witness.
Grateful for you,
James
